  1. Nope! In Ashburn! I think it was off of Loudon County Pkwy at a little strip mall. I ran into Wegmans to grab some sushi for lunch and saw your car on my way out.
  2. Unfortunately - or Fortunately - this vendors target audience is the 2nd Gen crowd as Haemish mentioned in the initial post. Some of the parts can be used on 1st Gen's but you have to know what you are looking for to make sure they will work.
  3. Yeah, she even names other peoples "stuff"... She named my cane, my lawnmower and my iPad!
  4. Wow! They come in three's so it sounds like you've used yours up now. Haven't heard of the door trim issue though. P.S. I have a pair of black "Wet Okole" seat covers that you are welcome to use until you can get the seat repaired.
  5. Ran out for a quick lunch during training today and who did I see? MINIBEE! I didn't see Ryan anywhere around and I didn't have time to go back and tag him or anything but I did wave!
  6. Okay, that was funny. I've heard stories about Chuck Norris being envious of the MINI...
  7. Yep, as Celia said, the DOS clears the M7 strut bar - that's the same setup that I have. I had to modify my previous CAI to clear the strut bar as it tapped on it when I was in reverse and it was just a little too close for comfort otherwise. I'm trying to remember which it was. I remembered! DDM Street Works intake. The front end of the airbox and the M7 cross brace tried to occupy the same space... The change in camber will help with understeer in extreme driving conditions but too much and it get's really twitchy on the road for daily driving. It also increases tire wear. There's a happy medium, it's usually a little change in the camber and other suspension mods that help without changing the geometry.
  8. If he's a smart businessman, it will be. 3 months later, he makes contact.....
  9. The auto up can be coded so that won't be a problem. We are in Fairfax, not far from George Mason University.
  10. If the windows aren't working with the one touch, I can help you out with that as I'm able to code many functions on the 2nd Gen. If you'd like to hear a DOS intake first hand, drop in sometime and you can have a ride in Merlin. Some (like me) like the sound and some really don't like it. As far as chrome or no chrome? That really is up to you. I'm always happy to help folks get rid of chrome because I'm not attracted to it at all but if you like it - I'm not gonna throw stones for it.
  11. Welcome! I think the dealer is going to be your only game in town for this. Unfortunately, there isn't anyone local that's coding the 1st Gen MINI. You can take a look on North American Motoring to see if there's anyone within a reasonable driving distance that can do the coding. Otherwise, it should take the dealer about an hour or so.
  12. Welcome to the forums! Are you sure you were wanting to ask about the Ian Cull Auto up? That's a device for 1st Gen MINI. Some of the stuff that does, the 2nd Gen already does (one touch up/down windows) and for most of the others, there's the AutoSport + and it is a DIY install. It'll help to remember that yours is an R56 (2nd Generation MINI Cooper S Hatchback). There is a thread on the forum with all of the "lingo" and also the model numbers. In general, R55 and R56 things are interchangeable and the R57 has lots of stuff that's shared as well.
  13. I bought a set for Merlin. Love having those things. I can't find a rear seat delete for the R55 but then, I did buy it so I have more rear seat room...
  14. HEY! This spouse is with the program! When my spouse owns a MINI, she'll be much more active on here!
  15. Who is this "Mark" fellow? Is he a member here? Oh, wait, are you now the "Waving Secretary" for Max?????
  16. I think you'd be okay if you put it all in that storage area and closed it. I'm pretty much like you but there are some who will go unnamed in Hot Orange Cabrio's with flames on the hood and recently tinted windows that manage to unload an entire 7-Eleven from their cars...
  17. Will - the car must be empty of all potential missiles or distractions so even jamming it in the boot doesn't make the grade. Most people just leave the extra stuff at home but for those that don't, it's all left in the paddock. The easy up would be for that area so folks can put their "crap" under the shelter and it doesn't get soaked in the rain.
  18. If rain is a high probability and you'd like, I do have a 10x10 easy up that can be borrowed. It does if in the back of a Clubman and probably a Countryman but otherwise, it requires a roof rack. Give me a shout if you'd like to borrow it.
  19. Happy Birthday Tim! We do miss you guys and we missed you at the Dragon too!
  20. Already been done. I got a text message from Lona's son yesterday and in it, he asked if I'd ever heard of something called "Plasti-Dip" and he told me how cool it is! I think I'll introduce him to Celia.
  21. Speaking of James - have you been impressed by their customer service? The guy was all over it for my stuff!
  22. Should I expect a call to reserve garage space? All but one of the cuts has healed from Mark's install last weekend so I guess it's time to make more of them!
  23. Will - I'd like to see you and someone else replay that at the annual picnic. Board members are exempt but all other club members that are willing to "play" are fair game.......
  24. I see another suspension job in my future...... I think we can get it done in 3 hours.
  25. Shhhhhhh. You weren't supposed to mention the cult until AFTER the "orientation" process.... I'm with Bert - I find ways to enjoy my MINI even when traffic has conspired against me. Glad to have another happy owner in the cul... er, I mean, Club!
