  1. You also bought the Cabrio braces if I remember correctly I just finished installing mine and the lower bolts are a pain :eviltongue:
  2. Hey Ali, If you want Craig, Marti, Edge and I could all go to lunch with you again Another option is to give one of us a credit card and we could go shopping for you  See ya soon, Brian
  3. I do plan on brakes and a suspension upgrade but it will have to wait until the winter Hopefully by then I will have the extra $ needed for more mods :top: And yes, I am beginning to think that Edge is the instigator in our friendly mod wars :y:
  4. And all these installs happened because of a conversation at lunch I will say I love my pulley :top:
  5. I ended up having a pulley install by Wayworks. What a difference that made  What was really incredible is that Way only took 10 minutes to do the install I also bought a pair of cabrio braces:smile:
  6. I totally agree on the extreme fun and also extremely tired :top: I will be going back next year The Tail of the Dragon is incredible and so are all the roads in that area :motor:
  7. All packed, heading out to get gas and then meet the caravan :motor:
  8. Hey Laura, Glad you all made it down safely and I would guess you are enjoying a cold adult beverage by now. Just curious how long it took Katie and you to get to the MOTD? See ya Wednesday, Brian :top:
  9. I can attest to the fact that Kooper does like to :vroom:with the assistance of Craig's foot :motor:. My drive down to Monterey with him was a little spirited. Marty should have known this since he came back with us . Looking forward to the run
  10. Here is the I-40 route using Bing maps. :motor: [url="http://www.bing.com/maps/default.aspx?v=2&cp=35.525544333271284%7E-82.93280873447657&lvl=12&sty=r&rtp=pos.38.837062_-77.438406_14155%20St%20Germain%20Dr%2C%20Centreville%2C%20VA%2020121-2310___e_%7Ev
  11. So we don't forget/miss anyone on Wednesday, if you responded as a "maybe" please indicated whether or not you are caravaning with us. Craig, Marty and I were talking about the route today and we are thinking I-81 to I-40 should be the best route. This
  12. Just a quick thought, if you know which cabin/room you are staying in, change your response to list the number. That way we can find fellow DCMM'rs when we get to MOTD. :motor:
  13. That is soooo cool lookin I will be at MOTD with the rest of the DCMM gang! Really looking forward to going to the Dragon and we will have to sit down for a cold one:beer: See ya next week, Brian
  14. I would just stick with 7-21 on the way down since that is how are radios are setup.
  15. I also noticed that Snooter has assigned different radio channels for the various clubs. The MOTD Channel is officially 7 Sub 21 and DCMM has been assigned 22 Sub 22 for any conversations between members. See page 11 of guide for all event communication assignments.
  16. I saw this on MOTD facebook page and thought I would post it here :top: "The MOTD 2010 Event Guide is now available for you to download and print. These will NOT be available at the Event" http://www.minisonthedragon.com/files/Welcome%20Guide_2010.pdf I am so ready to hit the road next week :motor:
  17. love the point of view with the camera mounted l
  18. Keckert just set this up on the calendar with a RSVP. :congrats: Please go to http://dcmetrominis.org/forum/topic/822-motd-wednesday-departure-group-rsvp/ I am so ready to hit the twisties :motor:
  19. Hey Ken not to sure about how to setup a RSVP so I will just do a list. So far this is who is interest: Brian0758 Keckert HzBBlur Scavenger Mr EZ cmcveay (a maybe) MMatarella (a maybe) As we had discussed prior the earlier the quicker we get there. My thought was wheels up by 6am and we will meet at the Starbucks in Centreville (see prior post for location) Lets talk this Sunday and confirm the time
  20. That was my thought also. I have driven through the tourist trap AKA Gatlinburg and the traffic/red lights can slow you down to a snail's pace. I am still up for whatever route the group decides. :motor: We should try to get together during the Spring Fling on Sunday and chat about the route. See ya all soon
  21. If they do not get it resolved, check with MMatarella because he posted that he has a spare room with a queen size bed :top: Here is the posting http://dcmetrominis.org/forum/topic/775-motd-rooms-available-in-cabin/ See ya at the Dragon or on the road down :motor:
  22. Here is the route that I was thinking which avoids the Gatlinburg traffic which can be slow. http://maps.yahoo.com/map?q1=14155%20Saint%20Germain%20Dr%2020121&q2=highway%2028%2028733}&mag=5&ard=1#mvt=m&lat=35.416037&lon=-83.754802&mag=5&zoom=13&q1=14155%20Saint%20Germain%20Dr%2020121&q2=highway%2028%2028733} We would miss Hwy 71 which looks like fun but we would get there a little quicker. Any route is cool with me since we are leaving early :motor:
  23. Here is a Starbucks close to the intersection of routes 28 and 29. 14155 Saint Germain Drive, Centreville, VA 20121 Since it is closer to 66 it probably is a better location
  24. The last time I went down to that area I took 66 to 81 to 26 and from Ashville went West. I am not sure what route Keckert has planned. As far as radios we would be using channel 7 subchannel 21 that we normally use on the DCMM runs. Here is the updated list of those meeting at Starbucks: Keckert, HzBBlur, Mr EZ, Scavenger and myself. See ya on the road :motor:
  25. Yep but it was a last minute decision this year:tongue: Next year I will plan it well in advance and take the whole week
