  1. I don't know if this counts as a "Dragon Mod", but Cricket got a new valve cover today. That's what my check engine light was for last week.
  2. Cricket got a CAI from Detroit Tuned, the Craven Speed dipstick that looks like a slinky and a Craven Speed iPhone mount. She also got a nasty door ding/scrape fixed.
  3. One never knows when one might get a Motoring Citation or for what. Don't worry if you didn't get one.
  4. I saw MINIMAC a lot when I lived in DC. I'm sure I tagged her a couple of times. She doesn't know what she's missing out on.
  5. I'm really trying to focus on work. I have stuff I need to get done before I go. I can't leave the office anyway, since I'm the only one here. I'm stuck here until 5:30pm. I really need to wash Cricket. I might try to give her a quick bath tonight.
  6. Traitor!!
  7. A lot of the vendors can take credit cards, but they process them later. Most of the restaurants take cards, too. I usually bring a lot more cash than I would usually carry, just in case. If a place takes credit, I use that and save my cash for the places that don't.
  8. Some of the cabins have washers and dryers, so someone may be able to help you out. Mine doesn't, or I'd offer.
  9. It's yours! Cash only, unless you want to pay in advance. PayPal address is payments@dcmetrominis.org and it's $15/shirt.
  10. Last working day before MOTD!!!! :motor::motor::motor::motor::motor::motor:
  11. Ignore that. The weather forecast constantly changes there. We're in the mountains, so it really varies. If you bring layers, you'll be fine. I will say I really hope that forecast is right, though, that sounds perfect!!!
  12. The variable weather makes packing for MOTD harder. You need to bring stuff for all types of weather. I probably only wear 1/2 the clothes I take because I had to bring stuff for hot, cold, rain, etc.
  13. Thanks! I actually learned it from my mom. I think she would repack the car before every vacation because my dad was insistent that it wouldn't all fit. It always did. One of the ways I can get so much stuff in there is the type of bags I use. I try to use more small bags for things that are soft, so I can cram them in. Last year, I bought a huge duffel bag, but it's the perfect size to fit in the boot with the seats up, if necessary. Also, I rarely get it right on the first try. I'm happy to help anyone pack! I know everyone makes fun of me for how much stuff I take, but I can pack suitcases really well, too. I only took an overnight-bag sized carry on for a 3 night trip to California a couple of years ago. I knew no one would believe, so there's a picture on Facebook somewhere.
  14. The only thing I would add to that is a quick detailing spray. I also bring a California Car Duster. I use that before I quick detail, to get the pollen and dust off. Because I'm in the car show, I'm bringing wax and polish this year. I usually keep a small backpack in the boot with small bottles of products (like Jim posted, but mine are from Griots) and a few microfibers.
  15. She might not be for long. I went back to the past results and she's improved a lot! So, watch out...
  16. If you haven't gotten your t-shirts from me (except Gigi - yours are on the way, you'll probably have them today) you can pick them up at MOTD. I think I only have 4 or 5, so it's no problem to bring them with me. I also have 7 extra shirts for sale. They are the regular, mens short sleeve shirts. I have 1 small, 1 medium, 2 larges and 3 extra larges. $15 each. I will have those at MOTD as well. You will need to come to my cabin (#538, the DCMM banner is on the porch) as I don't want to haul the bag of them around everywhere.
  17. Since I'm refusing to do actual work, I put together this spreadsheet with all of the times from autocross. Each person has their own tab so you can easily see how your time compares with everyone elses. Autocross Tracking.xls Autocross Tracking.xls
  18. Sounds fun! It interferes with my plan to have a grilled cheese at Deals Gap everyday, so we'll see. I could always eat twice...
  19. I found this video on NAM... It doesn't help with Dragon Brain or getting work done, but that's ok.
  20. It looks like that every year. I'm not worrying about it. (I'm also bringing rain gear!) I'm just happy to have only 3 more days of work!! And thanks to working until 8pm last night, I might be leaving early today!!! :motor:
  21. Registration for this event is now open. The last event sold out, so don't wait until the last minute to register! :motor:
  22. I just lower my mirrors manually and raise it back up when I leave. I don't like the automatic ones. I don't always need to see the ground when I'm backing up.
  23. I have no motivation to work. I just want to go!!! Of course, there's a meeting in my office today with the owner of the building. :banghead:
  24. Bring your own towels. They cabin towels are really bad. They're also very small. I bring two of my own. I also bring a pillow and quilt because I don't like to use the bedspread.
  25. When I parallel park, I lower my mirror so I can see the curb. I've never scraped that way. (Until the next time a parallel park, of course).
