  2. If anyone is planning on taking Metro, there are a few options. Take the Red Line to Woodley Park - Zoo - Adams Morgan, walk south from the station to Calvert, East on Calvert to 18th Street and south on 18th. It's about a 15 minute walk. You could also take the Green line to either U Street or Columbia Heights. They would be about a 20-minute walk from either, with U Street being slightly closer.
  3. Some say... The Stig is a regular at the Black Squirrel.

  5. If we did one contest per month we could make a calendar with the winning photos. We would need some help, as this stuff starts out fun, but if the same person is responsible for organizing every month, it gets tedious. Since we have the photography day next Saturday and we're going to be in a garage, how about the February theme be "Indoor MINIs"?
  6. Also, the garage is less than a block away. There shouldn't be an issue with finding parking unless you want to park on the street. Since we have the entire floor to ourselves, there's no need to worry about not being on time or not having a seat. It's lounge seating, so small benches and tables and a bar.
  7. FYI... If you are under 21, please let me know if you are coming by Sunday afternoon. I need to give the Squirrel a list. Thanks!
  8. It's free after 4pm, but the museum closes at 5:30pm. I've gone later in the day and it's still really busy. I think we'd have a hard time getting any good pictures of our cars that didn't have hoardes of tourists in them. Also, I don't think the Park Police would be too supportive.
  9. I know it's only Wednesday, but the weather forecast for Sunday evening looks good. No snow or ice!! :top:
  10. Sounds fun, but it's 600 miles. I can't swing that and MOTD.
  11. Less than a week!!
  12. I got the same error message for Ali, Craig.
  13. I'll try to register you both.
  14. I talked to PMoA last night and they will be open today, so if you want to brave the roads, there WILL be a Meet and Greet. Hope to see you there! Drive safe, though!
  15. I'm registered! :motor::top:
  16. Nearly 700 people have registered for MOTD so far. :top: Who is going and what have you signed up for? I'm going. I'm staying in the DCMM Cabin with Katie (kgdblu). I'll be arriving on Sunday, April 29. I'm signed up for the Welcome Dinner, Bingo, Car Show, Brew Swap and Farewell Dinner. I'll be helping Barry (Snooter) with set up on Tuesday morning. I also plan on :motor::motor::motor::motor::motor:. Hopefully, Cricket agrees and won't decide to be difficult this year.
  17. I have the Rev iPhone app. I don't use it much, but I should. I have the Kiwi WiFi OBDII cable and my plan was to leave it connected all the time, but I haven't gotten around to that, yet.
  18. If you have recently joined or renewed your DCMM membership and have not yet received your membership kit/new badge (and you probably haven't) I will be at the Meet and Greet with them. If you are not able to attend, they will be mailed to you, so don't worry about not picking them up from me.
  19. I just checked the NFL Playoff schedule. The Pro-Bowl is on 1/29 at Noon. So there will be no football at the holiday party. At least not live.
  20. Yes, DCMM was involved with that. We are still going to do DCMM MOTD shirts as we have in the past. I will be posting them here in the next few weeks.
  21. You can tow up to 1000lbs with a tongue weight of up to 100lbs with a MINI. You are correct about no 2007 JCW. MINI did not release a 2nd gen factory JCW until mid-2008.
  22. Thanks! You'll see Cricket on Monday.
  23. I updated the title to reflect the actual number of days remaining. I won't do it everyday, but I'll try to keep up with it somewhat. Does anyone else have Dragon Brain? I can't stop thinking about it. Can we go now? Or maybe just hibernate until April so it's closer? :motor::motor::motor::motor::motor::motor::motor::motor::motor:
  24. I am happy to help with logistics before the actual event. I didn't sign up for the run, anyway.
