Event Title: Backroads and Battlefields Event Date: 06/14/2026 10:00 AM to 06/14/2026 03:00 PM Event Address: In honor of Flag Day, we are revisiting the Backroads and Battlefields run! This is a long one, just over 100 miles, but we cover some amazing roads and pass through several historic sites in Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia. Multiple photo ops along the route. The run starts near the Monocacy Battlefield in Frederick, MD, and we end in Gambrill State Park, also near Frederick. We will have a lunch break along the way. It will be a great day out, celebrating the 250th Anniversary of America in our British cars RSVP on the event here:

Well you definitely do not want to go to the dealership for that because they will drain your wallet, but truly you can change oil yourself that's what I always did and as long as you follow the torque specs for the oil filter housing and the drain plug it's really very easy and much much cheaper, but if you really prefer to have it done and are willing to drive to Chantilly you can take it to GT peace, they are mini masters there and very reasonably priced. Hi, I am a new owner of a Mini Countryman. I live in PG County and I was hoping someone could tell me a good mechanic that can help me with my car. Oil Changes, and understanding resetting service lights. I was warned that it was expensive and hard to find a mechanic that works on these types of cars. No one wants to change the oil in my car because of the possiblity of a cracked oil filter housing after a quick oil change. Thanks in advance for any assistance on this.

Well I do hope you all have a great time and next year we do want to go and maybe we can find a place that's big enough and we can split the cost of everything because we really do want to hit those roads and have a good time with everyone. You guys be safe

Sorry you're not going to make it this year Scotty. We had the same problem with finding a place, especially since we didn't want to stay at Fontana again. Our rental is a good 25 min drive from the events at Fontana because we booked so late, but we figured, hey, we're there to drive those back roads anyway!

We wanted to go this year but it's just not going to work for us, I was trying to find a place but everything is either full or very far away or super $ and the wife has to go to Peru in July and of course my job just doesn't give me much free time.

-Mike and I will be there, but we're in a VRBO off of White Oak Rd near Robbinsville. It'll be DCMM MOTD Eastern Headquarters because @Laura H and @evantyler will be our roomies, and of course little Minni dog will be there too! -We're signed up for the Welcome dinner, Cabin Crawl & Bingo-save us 4 seats! -We're arriving on Tuesday leaving on Saturday -Let us know if there's a DCMM family dinner again this year, and count us in please

No worries Corey I went out there yesterday and just got there early and they gave me a spot right up front, it was nice and they took pics and all that so kinda representing for the club.

Hey all, Brandy and I will be down at the dragon this year, how about you? When do you plan on getting to Fontana Village? Are you staying offsite or on the resort?

Have a question about the cars and coffee tomorrow at mini, is there any further signing up that needs to be done other than what I did here on the events section? I did go to their website and was not able to submit a sign up. Not really worried about having my car up front or anything like that but I do want to just attend and check it out and have a good time.

Of course I'm going to love this because I have the same car in the "S" version!

We take our MINI to Premier Autowerks. They are certified BMW mechanics and are in Frederick
