The ferry is CLOSED this morning so we will be following the ALTERNATE ROUTE LISTED BELOW! ALTERNATE ROUTE IF THE FERRY IS CLOSED ON SUNDAY AUG 5: Start Time: Will stay the same. 10AM. Start Location: Will stay the same. Starbucks in Leesburg (1011 Edwards Ferry Rd NE, Leesburg, VA 20176) First Pickup Point in MD: 10:21AM Rocky Point Creamery (4401 Tuscarora Rd, Tuscarora, MD 21790) Second Pickup Point in MD: 10:44AM Cuginis Retaurant & Bar (19616 Fisher Ave H, Poolesville, MD 20837) New Arrival Time at DCMM Club Picnic: 12:20PM --- Get the day started right and arrive to the Annual Club Picnic with a pack of MINIs! We will be meeting at Starbucks in Leesburg (1011 Edwards Ferry Rd NE, Leesburg, VA 20176) to take a scenic ride along the Maryland side of the Potomac river and C&O Canal! The run will start by heading over to White's Ferry for ride across the Potomac. White's Ferry requires $5 CASH for a one way ticket. Once in Maryland we will head east towards Poolesville and then dip south to skirt along the southern border of Maryland for some nice wooded B roads. Keep your eyes peeled for glimpses of the Potomac River and the C&O canal. The run is scheduled to take 1 hour and 42 minutes 2 hours and 20 minutes and will end at the site of our 2018 DCMM Annual Club Picnic! althewoodworker Posted August 4, 2018 Report Posted August 4, 2018 I also will meet on the MD side of White’s ferry, if it in operation. The last couple of times we tried to cross the ferry it was not in operational due to all the current rain fall. Best to call to check before the crossing

We were in business when I did the pre-run pre-run so hopefully no issues. I will message everyone if there is any change of plan tomorrow.

althewoodworker Posted August 4, 2018 Report Posted August 4, 2018 If the ferry is shut down on Sunday and you cross the river at Point of Rocks bridge and take MD route 28 to get back on track I will meet the group at the Rocky Point Creamery parking lot which is 1.5 miles from the bridge on route MD route 28. If the ferry is running I'll be at the MD side of the ferry. Let us know Sunday A.M.
