It will be 10 degrees at the start time, no precipitation, but sustained winds of 30 mph with gusts to 50 mph. There is also the possibility of patches on ice on these road from the precipitation this evening. Do we want to still go in the morning or slide it a to the right. The go-kart outing is next weekend, but one of the following to days. I've been on a run with ice and snow (Fall Colors run 2011) and it wasn't fun. If you hold it I will still show up but it does sound miserable with this cold :embarassed: The windchill will make it feel like -5 at the start. Ali you still willing to go topless. Due to the predicted high gusting winds and likely patchy ice on the secondary and tertiary roads that make up the route the risk reaches a level of risk I do not feel comfortable exposing the group to. I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. I am not cancelling the run, just rescheduling!!! The weekend of Feb 28 looks clear on the event calendar, and the extended weather report say it will be in the high 50’s. I feel this will allow all too truly enjoy this route, and each other’s company. I am posting this on the forum and also PMing all that have RSVP’d yes or maybe. If you can respond confirming the change so I know no one is going to arrive in the morning. I will likely be there just to be safe. It will be clear and not signs of rain or white stuff. We plan on stepping off as close to as possible. Please grab you gas and coffee before reaching the starting point as there is not an easy gas station off the triangle exit. I will have copies of the route sheet, and a coupkle spare radios. please remember to put yours on the charger tonight if you have them. I am looking for a volunteer to be the sweeper?
