Next time, I'm signing up for the afternoon session!!
Here, here! After the very early start, long drive to Waldorf, the many hours working the course (and waiting), autocrossing, a long lunch (fun though!) and the long drive home, I am completely shot. A 2 hour nap after getting home helped, but I was still useless the rest of the day. Next time the afternoon session with brunch beforehand! :top:

Aw don't feel too bad. I didn't want to be there either because it was so cold. I'm glad everyone had fun!!! I know I had a blast. I hit my first cone EVER in my auto crossing history AND got my best time too, not in the same run haha. Boy, am I more than glad that I got this car!!! I know I personally will be going to the next autocross which will be at Virginia Motorsports Park in Petersburg, VA through NASA on the 6th. I love that course.

So.... how long is everyone keeping their AutoX numbers on their MINIs? I love the attention! The Fairfax LEO really seem to love it this AM at Starbucks! :motor:

I was thinking I would leave them a few weeks

What happened at the Starbucks?

Weeks? I was thinking days. You might wanna invest in some magnetic rally numbers for that long.

Came out to find LEO walking around BLUR. Gave me a hand salute, cause I'm in uniform, and went on their merry way.

Mostly I'm just too lazy to take them off right away.

That's cool that Blur and you got the salute :congrats:

Glad everyone had fun. Hopefully will see more MINI's out at the local autocrosses. The cold was the worst part of the day, I don't mind ripping it up in the wet! :motor:

Looks like Quitta almost beat the Lotus and Haemish beat it by about 2 seconds for it's fastest lap!

Yep, the lotus must have had a timid driver, it should have been putting up low 50's with someone pushing it a bit. My best time on saturday was 59.256, and at some other events I have been to their is a similar lotus doing easily 8 second quicker laps than I.

Timid would be the polite way of saying it... I think the car scared him to death! So much potential, so little nerve.....

The Lotus was WAY WAY off course the first few runs - as in... shortcutting entire sections of it. Finally one of the experienced folks started to ride with him and kept him on course. It didn't help that he arrived late and missed the course walk (I think).

Beautiful car. Having been lucky enough to have driven one, I was envious to see it.

It's a shame that vBulletin doesn't really support tables - if it did, I'd transpose all of the MINI times into here for everyone. Oh well.
