  1. 1. I'm only slated for 1 drive each day, Really excited for the Coaster on the first day  2. looking to have 'modest' mods done before i go [PTuning is going to take care of me] 3. Hoping to do this in the off times, looking forward to seeing a bunch of vendors in one spot 4. I'm doing my best on this...everywhere is booked up. Worse case I pitch a tent  i couldn't resist saying that. When is everyone cruising down?
  2. I've slept in worse Just thought i'd put it out there i'm not picky.
  3. Guess I'll add my name in here for a couch, cot, or bathtub I plan on being there Wed-Fri evening ( I have to be back in Baltimore for Wife's graduation commencement on Saturday).
  4. Aloha. Welcome to the mainland Hope you're stocking up on cold weather gear...I take it you are coming from Oahu, might have to tuck away the rubba slippas for a few months. Anyways, I commute back and forth near your area [glen burnie - annapolis]. The MINI community is very strong in this area. I'll see you around. Shaka Brah. Ross
  5. Okay, so I'm hoping for a little direction on this...my first time headed to MOTD. First time to the Dragon actually. Going from the site, http://www.minisonthedragon.com/2016-intro.php, I'm waiting until the 15th to register. Just curious where most are staying... a little behind the power curve on this on getting a room I guess. Where are some good places to rest the head, with a reasonable distance from where most of the events are happening. I would like to accomplish as much as possible, but I wonder what things are a must do for a firsty. Any guidance/direction is MUCH appreciated. Cheers, Ross
  6. Can anyone provide a labor cost per hour rate? Seems like that is always a hard bit of information to find on places [especially when considering a new reputable shop over another reputable shop].
  7. Are all the tires Michellin or is there an additional brand mixed in there? PM'd to be in line of interested buyers
  8. Luckily vehicles are registered in MD. From what I've seen on the driving down the road around here, I could Wesley Snipes shade 6 and be just fine.
  9. Trying to plan out for this one...What are the shades/percent of tint available for this? My wife would like to match the front driver and passenger windows on her CX-9 (two windows). For my MINI, guess i'm just looking to go dark...not sure of tint % though.
  10. Being how I'm in Glen Burnie...the drive time would be similar. Heck of a drop off and return trip. How was the turn around time on getting your car back? Pricing reasonable?
  11. I'll be putting an order for at least 1 (possibly 3) just need the 15th to roll around :top:
  12. Could need a cleaning...or perhaps something else in the fuel delivery. What breather/engine mods have you done?
  13. Anyone else having issues connection to OxSpeed.com? Are they still in business..would be nice if they are, considering they are just 10min away from me
  14. The Wife and I happened to be on the other side of the water and ventured down into St Michaels for lunch. On the way down I spot a mini-truck in tow and I made it a point to check the little guy out. Luckily the guy pulled into a gas station and I was able to get some snap shots of this beauty. Extremely cool guy from Ohio chatted about his truck for a little bit and welcomed me to the [mini] crew. Since I work in Annapolis i'll probably bring a change of clothes some time this week and check out what they have going on over there, hopefully.
  15. This was an awesome time! loved the routes that took me through some nice twisties. :motor: The hard work and care leading upto this events success was very apparent. Excited to not only have participated but for those events in the future, such an awesome group. Well done to the team that made this possible:top:
  16. I know, Right!?! I'll leave my business card next time, looks like they are a frequent traveler.
  17. Seen in the BWI parking garage (this pic would be a week or two ago). Spotted again today in same garage, different parking spot. Would love to meet up some time
  18. So yeah, failed the meticulous MD state inspection for rear driverside exhaust hanger (ordered/en route), Both front tires (failed by 2mm, but new ones arrived today, install tomorrow), and passenger side CV boot has a small hole in it (barely noticeable) that needs to be replaced. So, once i get all these handled I should be good to go. >Note passed VA inspection with flying colors o.O
  19. I know, just a little word play... btw, thank you for sorting out that whole registry thing for me awhile back :top: I appreciate it. Your site admins were on point allowing my IP in. Also, what's the difference between single vs couples membership (if i'm the only one with a MINI)? One badge for single, two for couples?
  20. This happened on Friday (figured the best way to start off an intro is with a pic) Took me the better part of a month to find her (Brittany) after test driving various MINIs. Ultimately, i was looking for a FUN and practical car that would be easier on the wallet to DD, at the same time modify. I have wanted one of these cars for quite some time now, glad I finally have one. Anyways, My name is Ross and I live on the good side of Ritchie Hwy in Brooklyn Park..I expect to be moving to Severna Park in the next year or two, time will tell. As you can tell from the driveway, my 'lot' is pretty full. The Evo is going, already have a buyer for her. I have a 72 Datsun 510 that I'm working on, been going back and forth whether or not to go full resto on it...I think I will, because OCD would kick in on stuff not being the way they should. 05 Colorado Xtreme is my ol' faithful, 145k miles on her, never an issue...minus the crap GM wiring, so the AC only works on full blast at the moment. 01 Kawi Ninja ZX6, carb'd bike...just realize the bike matches the MINI Finally, (not pictured) wife's CX-9..the hockey/football gear hauler. And NOW, the 'S' :motor: The only thing I don't like about the car is that I purchased it only this past friday...really wanted to do the Tail of the Dragon, next year though :top: Not new to the car scene, from Cali to Japan, now back on the east coast. But as things go, when you join a new forum...you must work your way up. Looking forward to learn as much as can on these cars, already have my Haynes next to me, meeting up, and doing some cruises. Right now my favorite run (if you are local to Annapolis/Gambrills) is Stephen Church all the way to Annapolis from Waugh Chapel, loop north at the mall to Crownsville, then take the fork that heads you back into Herald Harbor. Nice twisties I found this site under the reference of Amit on NAM, thank you for that by the way
