  1. After the thousands spent getting the cylinder head rebuilt, my budget was in search of a free mod - I did the R56 channel swap to improve the sound quality of the stock radio/speakers. Amazing improvement and only cost 15 minutes of my time!
  2. Thanks! I like it, especially the red bike trays! If you do install the MINI base rack, throw the instructions away and watch the youtube videos. The printed instructions are not very helpful...:banghead:
  3. I installed my roof rack and new license plates.
  4. I second Dan - Have someone help you DIY. Replacement for the stock stuff will cost you less than $250 for pads and rotors all around. Add in the cost of the sensor and a pizza or two, and you will be done for cheap.
  5. That's "Wanted To Buy" or "Want To Take" I'm in search of a stock R56 airbox. Cheap or free preferred. I just need the box and lid - no ducting.

I had fun! Nice choices of roads! I hope to make more runs with you guys...once it gets WARM!
  7. Spotted a lowered Chili Red R53 on 234 South this afternoon. Blackout headlight trim. Anyone here? Good looking car!
  8. I'm sure with snow tires my MINI would be fine in the yuck but alas, no snow tires for me. I was having a touch of trouble trying to get to work at 5am Tuesday.
  9. But Brian - MINIs are GREAT in snow! Take my word for it!
  10. Having just spent a whirlwind week searching for my Mini, I can tell you there are a few out there that will me those requirements. The biggest problem I found was keeping the mileage under 100k at the $10k limit. Here's one http://www.cargurus.com/Cars/inventorylisting/viewDetailsFilterViewInventoryListing.action?sourceContext=carGurusHomePage_false_0&newSearchFromOverviewPage=true&inventorySearchWidgetType=AUTO&entitySelectingHelper.selectedEntity=c2842&entitySelectingHelper.selectedEntity2=c5734&zip=22193&distance=MILES_50&searchChanged=true&modelChanged=false&filtersModified=true#listing=100893862 And another. They have it listed as an Auto but it's a manual. http://www.cargurus.com/Cars/inventorylisting/viewDetailsFilterViewInventoryListing.action?sourceContext=carGurusHomePage_false_0&newSearchFromOverviewPage=true&inventorySearchWidgetType=AUTO&entitySelectingHelper.selectedEntity=c2842&entitySelectingHelper.selectedEntity2=c5734&zip=22193&distance=MILES_50&searchChanged=true&modelChanged=false&filtersModified=true#listing=100893862
  11. Having just bought my 2007 Mini, I recently enjoyed a quiet evening reading through the owners manual. Somewhere in the climate control section it stated that when the system is in re-circ that the computer would introduce fresh air at certain intervals. Coming from an older car I find it astounding how much electronic wizardry there is inside and how much the computer controls.
  12. Yes, he is joining! I'll do a proper intro in a bit but thank you for the help looking for a Mini. I found an R56 that I fell in love with - so I bought it!
