When I took them off they had been on for 5 years and little to no ghosting on the black. The red roof had a little.

Thank you, both!

Craig, when did you take your stripes off of Helljumper? Did you have an issue with paint differences (i.e. sun bleached versus clean paint)?

Event Title: Blue Crab Run (Cantler's)
Event Date: 08/25/2019 08:00 AM
Event Address: 458 Forest Beach Road, Annapolis, Maryland, 21409, United States
RSVP on the event here: Blue Crab Run (Cantler's)
Join me and some of our merry MINI friends on a trip over the Potomac and through Maryland for some blue crab. We will begin in Leesburg and venture our way over the Potomac using White's Ferry. We will continue on through a small portion of Montgomery County and into Howard, over Brighton Dam, down 32, and into Anne Arundel County. Exact route to be determined. I am limiting this run to 15 MINIs. Parking is at a premium and we must get there at open in order to get decent parking. Cantler's opens at 11:00am. Please bring $5 cash for the one-way ferry ride (if you plan to take it back to VA, its $10).

Booked the Quality Inn Lakefront...same as last year. I'll cancel if I can't go. But I'll do my best. The video above makes me want to go back.

I believe I’ll be going...but the stars have to align in order for that to happen.

I have not for doing it in craig's spot. I coordinated dropping it off Friday evening as I am going out of town for the week. So they can do it whenever they have an opening during the week.
Cool, cool.

So with the new car I'm not too worried about getting this done. I'll still come hang out but will not being doing the cleaning. Already called GTPeace and let them know, they're going to let me use my credit towards swapping parts out next month sometime.
OK. Thanks, Craig

I have an R52S is this something I should think about doing? DB has 113k
Thanks, James
This topic has been brought up quite a bit. From my conversations with Galen, the N14 engine needs the carbon cleaning more than the N18. That said, both engines are prone to carbon build up. If you haven’t done a prior cleaning and your mileage is over 100k, it’s a safe bet you could use one regardless of your engine.

Talked to Galen this morning. He is putting together time slots for the 14th. I'll have those to you shortly. He will contact you for payment soon. Also, he will be reaching out to those who are scheduling privately to set up appointments and payment.
Secondly, they are thinking about getting Willard's BBQ for food. Please let me know if there is anyone that's is NOT OK with this.
Thanks,
Alex

7/14 is good for me. Would they be able to do a bunch of cars on that day? Then we come at a scheduled time for hang out old pulley party style?
I put you on for 7/14. They will do 8-10 cars that day. And yes, they will provide food and a place to mingle. Shop is not very big...but I'm sure they will accommodate.

Event Date: 07/14/2018 09:00 AM to 07/14/2018 05:00 PM
Event Address: 4003 Westfax Dr., Unit G, Chantilly, Virginia, 20151, United States
Hello All,
This is the formal event thread for the Carbon Cleaning Group Buy. The event will be held on Saturday, July 14th at GTPeace Auto in Chantilly, VA. GTPeace will be able to complete cleanings for 8 to 10 vehicles that day as they will have two machines available for the cleanings. Please see below for the individuals who have signed up for the July 14th date and the individuals who will need to be privately scheduled.GTPeace will provide food and a place to mingle. Some of the bays will also be open for those individuals who may need minor work done on their vehicles. Please don't expect them to be able to do major work that day. I am going to open RSVPs. This is merely to tell me the headcount of people who plan to arrive at GTPeace on July 14th regardless of whether your car is scheduled to be cleaned. They need to know a headcount for food and other purposes.
Those individuals who are planning to come on the 14th, I will try to get time slots for you so you know when you must be at GTPeace. Those individuals who need to be privately scheduled, I have sent your information to GTPeace and they will be following up with you to schedule. Scheduling will not be done through the forum.

My name was not on the above list for some reason, but I would like to be in this group buy too. I will PM you later this evening, Alex.
I would have picked June 30 (my parents are visiting from Australia in July), but it sounds like I have to schedule privately anyway.
I have your information which is why your name was not on the list of people who still needed to send info to me....unless you have a different phone # and email you'd like to use.

OK. Here's the lineup for July 14th.

The Mixer (Car 2)

OK. Sorry for not getting back to everyone this past week. Things have been a little crazy. If you have not sent me your information above, please do so. I need to get that to Galen for scheduling.
Secondly, GTPeace is willing to pick a Saturday coming up to make an event out of this. They will provide food, etc. They will be able to schedule 8 cars that day and the remainder of us will be scheduled at times convenient to us (i.e. during the week). Which date works better? June 30th? Or July 14th? Please respond below. We will pick a day. I will submit that to Galen, we will get 8 cars signed up, and create the event.

Hi All,
Galen and I are still ironing out the details. That said, I need each one of you who have expressed interest to private message me your name, phone number and email, and year/make/model of car (I'm assuming 90-100% will be MINIs). This way I can give this information to GTPeace and they will begin to schedule.
We may attempt to have a day where we all get together for one day to have a cookout/carbon cleaning party if you will. Those of you who can do it on that day, will, and the rest will schedule. That said, I'm still ironing out details and I will give you more info after the weekend. Thanks,
