  1. These are a few shots from Central Park, I believe one of them has been a little touched up, the other two are right from the camera. I really really liked the lighting I was getting and was shooting into the sun to get that warm glow, to me it kind of looks like something out of a children's fairy tale book. These were taken with Canon T2i and a Canon 28-70 2.8L. 1. 2. 3.
  2. Ok, I need to get back into the photo game, especially since I just bought some new (to me) gear. Here are the only rules: 1. NO CARS!! there are plenty of threads dedicated to the subject. Everything else is fair game. 2. Include a small description on what you were aiming for. 3. Multiple pics encouraged. 4. Constructive criticism allowed. Don't be a jerk, this is to help everyone step up their game. This goes both ways, don't post the photos if you can't handle a little heat. 5. When quoting someone, please don't quote the photos over and over again. Have fun! I'll start us off in the next post!
  3. Thanks Ali, you did a great job! Great seeing everyone today, it was nice for Minnie to stretch her legs a bit. Here are a few snap shots right from the camera. I didn't get many photos, I wish I would have taken some at the meet up spot, but I thought we might have had some other photo ops later on. I'm not sure what I will do with Ali's twerk photos yet:evil:
  4. Minnie has A/C, the route isn't twisty enough to tough it out in Loki....plus, Minnie needs to run free with her kind!
  5. I may have to bow out of this one...I'll know for sure by next week! Confirmed.... I'm going to play it safe and sit this one out. Can't wait to hear how it goes though!
  6. Minnie will get a rinse at best...can't leave the couch today
  7. Leave early?!?!
  8. LOL, I just saw these comments! I don't eat Ramen, too much sodium. My diet has been chicken/eggs/cereal/organic peanut butter/protein shakes/and subway. (but not all mixed together:embarassed:)
  9. I haven't used this camera in 2+ years or so, so I need to get it off my shelf. The camera looks great and ALMOST works 100% unfortunately it suffers from the occasional dreaded err99 (which CANON still chooses to ignore). The camera still works in all modes, but will occasionally get the error which requires you to turn the camera off and on. For casual shooting and learning how to use a DSLR its not bad, but when you are trying to shoot events it can be real annoying. Still a great beginner camera. 10. I packed the camera and when I took it out the battery was dead, I was so focused on the gopro that I forgot to charge the canon....it's ok though, you know how long it takes me to process pics.:top:
  11. I love a green MINI!
  12. I didn't see any PTuning guys, we got 12th. Thanks to NHarrison and his brother for coaching and spotting and thanks to my team mates Chris and David (Steph bailed on us )...I think David was our MVP no spinouts (I'm guilty) and lots of fast consistent driving! I can't wait to do it again! EDIT (DUH) Also, thanks to Mike for setting up the caravan and Rienaldo, Kris K. and George for coming out!!
  13. I just sent out my number to everyone who said they are going (that doesn't already have it). If I missed you PM me
  14. Cool, I will PM everyone who we know is going my number so we can all link up
  15. Welcome to America Helljumper!
  16. Other than the drive to Hyper-fest it won't be MINI centric. So if you don't mind riding shot gun you with someone you can still go. I hear it's a really fun event so if you really want to go, we can make it happen!
  17. Good Morning!! Tomorrow is the big day, remember we are meeting up at sheetz (915 Edwards Ferry Rd, Leesburg VA 20176) at 10:00am and WILL BE DEPARTING at 10:30am. I will be checking this thread until 10:30am, so post up if you are running late.
  18. Works for me, though I may stay an extra day. My friend Duane (red s2000) is coming and has two more friends that are interested (turbo jetta and mustang) not sure if they are 100% though.
  19. Yep! Standing by to see what the Team Leader (Jasen) says!
  20. I'm looking up accomodations right now, depending on the number of people and their flexability, this trip can be done on the very cheap! For example.... http://hungrymothercabins.com/beaver-trail-retreat/ (Cliffs: 3 bedroom cabin, 2nights, 1 mile of RT 16 $240!!) $240 / 4 ppl = $60!! but also there are ALOT of hotels nearby also.
  21. Back of the dragon
  22. No ma'am, only 327 miles from Arlington!
  23. This is closer then the dragon and it's a holiday weekend....whats stoppin ya?
  24. Awesome looking car! Can't wait to see what you do with it!
  25. Jasen, what time would you want to leave on the 5th? For me, the earlier the better. I think my S2000 friend may be interested as well. I'm going to talk to the boss about taking leave on the following Monday, but it's not a deal breaker if I can't.
