  1. Sorry, didn't mean to Debbie Downer the thread.
  2. Is that because cuddlin is what Tiggers do best? #TooMuchWinnieThePooh
  3. Edit: Got home to the laptop and tadaa! Pic posted up in my 1st comment.
  4. Saw this 03-04 R53 parked at the N entrance to Skyline Drive this afternoon, it looked AWESOME so I had to stop for a pic. (Let's see if the pic works) Edit: can't get pic up (yet) but you can see one if you go to my Flickr at: http://www.flickr.com/Drillslinger Edit 2: let's see if this works:
  5. I have these in my 1M and LOVE them. Unfortunately furlough + R53 = these wont work for me :-( All I can do is bump the thread and add that these are decently pricey new (think I paid around $300 for f/r set for the M) so this has the potential to be a great deal for someone :-)
  6. +...(Where are we now, 4 or 5?) :top: I have the US Mill works holder on both the Wagon and the M and it works GREAT! I love the fact that it's heavy duty AND the ball mount lets you angle it to match the bumper. I've taken the one on the Wagon through a few car washes with no problems
  7. Having had stock (sports) suspension, stock shocks with sport springs and now the Koni kit (Koni shocks and springs) I can say that the Stock Shocks w/sports springs had the best cost-to-performance ratio of them all (IMO of course) :top: Bonus was that the ride was more comfy. This Koni kit is a tad rough for a DD (especially on these roads! OMG :banghead:)
  8. Sort of... I had about 60k miles on the springs and the coating was wearing through in spots allowing them to rust. Since the SHOCKS were almost shot I decided to replace them before anything drastic happened
  9. I had the TSW springs on DB until they wore out and just last year replaced them with the Koni Sport kit. Springs alone were a great cost/performance compromise and the full kit is MUCH harsher than just the springs (but holds WAY better in the curvy bits) :top:
  10. Ah man, I'd love to go to this since I'll be in the area that weekend but I have to be at FedEx Field at 1100
  11. Wow, that looks like a delicious bizarro-Creamsicle :proud: Stupid furlough indeed
  12. Is the Rear Upper stress bar one of the ones where you can still use the rear seats?
  13. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you :top: I figured there'd be folks waiting on seats so made the decision to cancel early to allow others to plan better. Hope y'all have fun :embarassed:
  14. Well damn, sorry folks but DB's AC condenser has sprung a leak and I won't be able to get parts and everything put together in time for the run and carrying the kids around without AC won't work. Looks like we'll have to introduce ourselves at another event. Good news is, we've freed up 4 seats for others :top: Edge (or other Mod) can you pull us from the list please? Thx
  15. Lol, yeah well she knows all of my tricks (and I've used that one once or a hundred times already ) PLUS, DB needs a new AC Condenser now so I hope to have that looked at this weekend. (No AC= NO GOOD in this weather!)
  16. I was going to try and go this Saturday but the Frau pretty much told me no play until all of our boxes are unpacked (I see her point, the ground floor of our t/h is FULL of boxes, lol)
  17. Where are y'all finding the various colors? I've tried a few stores (Lowe's, Home Depot, Advance Auto) and have so far come up empty handed. Thx :top:
  18. Lol, I hear you guys. I'm finally back in the States and the combination of moving expenses and an expected pay cut means no MotD for me this year :bawling: That said.... I'll be signing up for Fontana's wait list as soon as they open it up for next year :top:
  19. Confirmed yesterday that the Frau is interested as well so it looks like we'll make this the 1st (DC) MINI event for the whole clan (minus puppy) :top:
  20. Hey guys, is this the Griffin Tavern in Flint Hill? If so, that's out MY way!!
  21. Yeah, I've heard of the Slug-lines.... gotta say, it sounds friggin creepy :creep: Haven't 70s/80s Horror movies taught us ANYTHING about hitchikers
