  1. For sale 1979 Mini right hand drive. This rust free mini has been completely restored. Body stripped to bare metal, new panels and floor pans installed, primed, and painted. Dynomat layered under new carpet. Custom covered seats, door cards, and dash. Mota Lita steering wheel. Upgraded stereo includes Alpine CD player, infinity 4” fronts, infinity 6x9 rears and twin JBL 8" subs in the boot powered by a 5 Channel alpine amp. Front subframe has been stripped and powder coated and rear subframe has been replaced with new and all new poly bushings. All other bits and bobs are new such as door handles, wipers and motor, badges, window seals, headliner, headlamps, mirrors, grill, arches, and bumpers. Suspension has been upgraded to adjustable high/ lows. Radiator is 4 core performance and keeps the car cool. Engine is a rebuilt 998 bored 40 over, full exhaust system, minispares intake, and has new pistons, alternator, water pump, timing chain, upgraded carb kit, distributer, etc. It does leak oil I believe from the drive shaft seal. 4 speed manual shifts well and has a new clutch, slave and master. Wheels are 5x10 Minators with A008 tires that look brand new and fill the wells perfectly with added 1” spacers. Brakes are refurbished twin leading drums with dual system including pads, drums, and cylinders. I have owned the car 3 years and keep it in the garage. I drive it to shows and sometimes on the weekend maybe 500 miles a year but probably less. I have a stack of receipts from the resto including the shipping papers from when it was brought from England. I also have various parts catalogs and repair manuals as well as a nice car cover in a case. This is a great running and looking car that needs very little. Asking $8500. You guys heard it here first! Now let's see if I am clever enough to post pics.
  2. Well that was fun! :motor: Thank you to everyone for setting it up. I can't wait to see the pictures and videos. I couldn't stay for lunch but I am curious if I won anything. I am sure I didn't because that is how my world spins.
  3. 60? As in miles per hour! Is this cannonball run? Is the beltway downhill the whole way? I may have to drift with Watson so we can have 80 hp between us.
  4. On my calander as well. I can't confirm due to work but I would like to go. Although you guys will probably lap me a few times. :motor:
  5. What will your MINI not be called then? Make it an unpronouncable symbol like Prince did.
  6. SPOTTED: Large group of minis at a nice park in VA. There was a large group of sketchy looking people nearby so I fled quickly.
  7. Just topped off with 2.8 gallons and on my way. Feel free to start without me.
  8. Hello. :wavey: There is a picnic on Sunday. Give you an excuse to wash the poor thing.
  9. I know. It's a hard thing to decide though. Took me weeks just to get my license plate. It'll come to me eventually.
  10. Why is everyone so angry? I am working on one still. Blurple is the namo for now. It's pretty much the equivilant of calling your dog.. dog. :dontknow: Don't want to commit until the right one comes to me.
  11. No mam it wasn't you. It was this guy.
  12. WOW! That's awesome. Very nice job laying out the lines. Are you going to use a glossifier on it?
  13. That should be cool. I got a little heavy handed with the exacto and made a few scratches on the golf so be careful. I have been considering a full dip JCW style black with a red roof.
