Sevan, tell me about the black rims.
They look like 17 rims, can you tell me anything more about them? In the last picture, of the black rims, there appears to be a little curb rash on it. Do I see that correctly?
I'm interested and don't live too far from you in MoCo. I am just wondering if they will work on my 2012 MC S R56.
I have the same set, if you have a 4x100 they will fit. They are a 17inch, and, if I am not mistaken, when I originally got mine, Edge mentioned that they even fit over the Big Brake kit.
Certainly a great price!

Yeah, if you are happy with the ones(style)you have, I can walk you through a DIY, or do it. It's a straight forward project, as you can see here:
If you are looking to get new, then the sky is the limit, what's the budget? There are a LOT of 16/17inchers with the 4x100 bolt patters, just depends on the offset, and what you want.

beside installing an air horn set up, I don't understand why anyone would do a swap that WASN'T operated by the stock horn buttons.
Honestly, I want to do both, I would like to have my stocks replaced with hella supertones for just daily driving, and those kind of "gentle" nudges where you don't want to blow someone away, BUT I want a set up like Celia(Stickers)has for those moments that I am sure everyone has, and you're like, "WTF, ARE YOU SERIOUS", and want them to snap back to reality, and remind them that while behind the wheel, DRIVING should be the Number 1 priority, not talking on the cell/putting on make up/being clueless to others around you.
As for replacing the stock horns, I though it would go without saying that they need to be operated by the factory wheel mounted buttons.

Today was easily, by a LONG shot, the MOST MINI's I had ever seen out and about, AND. . . The MOST waves I have EVER gotten back!
Have a best friend in town, haven't seen in years, took on the nickle&dime tour of NOVA/DC today, saw SO many MINIS it was kinda silly, and I got a total of 11 waves!
I don't know who any of them were, but hell, I can go a month and be surprised to get a single wave, so today was just awesome!lol.
Stopped in falls Church at Ba Lee for some Banh Mi, and talked to a MINI owner, Chen, gave a card and hope that he will come over to say hi. Had a great looking first gen, with an awesome stance(god I want to go a little lower), and was a really enthusiastic MINI owner.

That happened to me years and year ago. I had plates from Fentress County TN and the Navy had me in Memphis (Shelby County). Long story short, I was running open headers and caught the attention of a County sheriff. He "did me a favor" and wrote me a ticket for not having a Shelby County inspection sticker without realizing I wasn't required to have one. I had to go to court and it was dismissed.
I'm glad we live about 6 feet beyond the boundaries of the City of Fairfax. Out of curiosity, how much does that decal cost and what's the purpose of it?
I want to say it was $33? IIRC, they don't issue it/allow you to renew, until you have paid your personal property tax though, so basically, it's just a revenue maker.

You hit the nail on the head. Anything can be done, if you have the cash to so it.
I was please with my replacement from MachV, not a fin, but very short, all metal, and blends well with the car.

Yeah, that really makes no sense, and seems like just another way to separate people, from their money. That is some schiesty business.
I know that this is a different example, but now, in the City of Fairfax, we are required to have a City Sticker. I had mine, didn't install it due to, well, forgetting all about it. . .got a ticket, had to go to court to say "yes, I have it, and it's on the windscreen", Dismissed. BUT, there were like 8 others, that are attending Mason, have VA tags, NOT LIVING IN FAIRFAX CITY, but were ticketed because the Officer "saw the vehicles for more than a week" and ticketed them all. All were dismissed, but still, what a crock, and a waste of time.

I think most MINI owners get more smiles per gallon than any other car I can think of( within a reasonable range, not talking about Lambos, Ferraris, or supercars). The only thing that bums me out, is the MINI drivers that have a MINI, but it's just a complete utilitarian vehicle to them, they never wave, smile, or seem to be enjoying the drive! WTF? I guess I(we) are just a little more passionate about our little cars of Fun!

I was thinking a combination of both performance and cosmetics actually. I'm sure this will take some time but Part of the reason I am interested in joining this club is to get a variety of ideas from all different people to pick and choose the best that fits for me.. It's been less that 2 weeks that I've had Nutty, but already...

I think you are one of a few, new here to the board, with a Countryman.
The thing with the First gens, and second gens, is they have been out for some time, and there are loads of aftermarket play things, tips, tricks, and accessories. I am not sure what all is out there for the Countryman, well, because I don't own one and haven't looked, lol. Anywho, I am sure that as time goes on, the market for parts/go-fast goodies, and cosmetic accessories will open up. That is one UNIVERSAL draw to the MINI brand, imo, the ability to personalize. As you get involved, and head out to some meets, you will see how cool it is to see so many of the same car, yet each is as individual, and unique as their owners.

Most definitely I can't wait for these events. I'm already thinking of ways to customize Nutty to be a little more me. And yes explaining Nutty will be saved for another time.

I have seen "REDMINI" 3 times, in 2 days in Fairfax, mainly in the Old Town Fairfax area. Just noticed the club badge yesterday. Not sure who it is on the board, but GREAT looking MINI!

POOP, I can't remember the plate, I think it was RAB 67 or something, we had a honk, and a wave going down towards FFX Blvd. Always nice to see members out in the wild!
