What did you do to your Mini today?
TGGRRR (Ali) replied to Lt. Dan's topic in Maintenance & Modifications
Tigger went to Odds and Ends Detailing and got a full mani/ pedi (replaced the tires), massage ( detailing with clay bar and buffing) and his hair did (convertible top treatment) He looks amazing and is ready for winter :top: -

It looks like we still need a photographer. You don't have to be a professional to do this, you don't even need a high end camera. Just a willingness to capture the spirit of the event and a camera that you are familiar with. Is there anyone that's interested? I know we have a lot of people here that love to do photography

It's been chilly in the mountains

Check with Randy he's listed in the vendors forum

Is anyone else interested in coming out for this event?

Event cancelled, please see more posted from Phil Wicks. 11/01/14 Bowie Baysox stadium Phil Wicks will be teaching a driving school for a high school and needs volunteers to work with the students and manage the course. First time I think they were spotted in the wild and reported here! :top:
-
Yeah we stole Sherri for FCR
-
It's Melissa!
-
Thanks Michael, we were looking at the MD side because it's twistier. The VA side is kind of boring but good for the drive home
-
So here's the basics that we have right now The run will start around 4:00 We hope to be starting in Leesburg and then heading over the Whites Ferry and taking the twistier roads on that side. It will turn into a night run so we're going to pre-run it to be safe. Once in Harpers Ferry we will find parking and go to a restaurant. at 7:45 we get to the ghost tours place Once the tour is over we can drive home on our own with the route that works best for your destination. There is a small fee for the Whites Ferry (I think $6 per car) and the Ghost tour is $10 plus there will be the cost of dinner. Once Alex and I have the details firmed up we'll put it in the events and open RSVPs BTW - a Ghost tour is not like a haunted house. It's a tour of the historic buildings with stories about the past residents and current ghostly occurrences. They're actually a lot of fun, informative if you like history and eerie.
-
This is a great idea for an adventure run. Skyline drive is well traveled so won't need a pre-run and it's easy to find routes. If you can work it in route 33 off of Skyline is a lot of fun!
-
I've got the cost up and the tour owner recommended some restaurants. Once that is solid I'll post full details. Parking might be tricky but he said mid November isn't bad and with us coming later he thinks well be OK.
