I forgot about the confusion at the car show with the special categories. I suggested they offer a different style of meal at the welcome and farewell dinners. When you're feeding that many people the food should be buffet but if the meals are kind of deconstructed more people can find something they want to eat. For example the pasta is just in olive oil, sauce on the side, grilled chicken on the side. This way people just take what they want. I was OK at the welcome dinner but the farewell dinner was really bad for me. I go to the dinners for the activity and company, not so much for the food. Overall it's a really well run event

Craig and I are working on a route out to Harpers Ferry. Should be fun. We are also looking at some restaurant options. He found a BBQ place that looks promising.

It was great meeting you Gigi. Mark and I took a run on the Dragon Sat night just before sunset, it was deserted and we had an awesome run. We finished and there was just a scrap of daylight and it was dark when we rolled into Fontana. I think it was our favorite Dragon run of the trip. Ali

Wow, that was a fun week. We already reserved our cabin for next year. Tigger and I and Mark and Max all had so much fun. The drive home stunk as usual. I was shocked when we hit the exit where the tornado hit on 81. That was really scary. We were fortunate since there was a tornado that touched down on 129, just past the top of the Dragon. Tigger got a Cold air intake, and a chip installed to give the top one touch operation. I love having the top operate hand free, no more holding the stupid button the whole time. The Cold air intake makes the super charger whine even more and I got better gas mileage on the drive home. I miss living with all the MINIs Ali

I used the road wrap on the lower part of the bumper and the mirror caps. It worked great. I took it off of the bonnet because overnight the moisture had seeped in and created these big pockets of moisture. But I had some detailing spray and would literally clean the bugs off every time we stopped for gas. That worked pretty well. We noticed the bug population increased dramatically once we got further south. Our first stop just south of Richmond I had a few little bugs to clean off, next stop my windshield was covered and it just got worse each stop after. Laura cleaned my windows with something magical that is really helping get them off easily. see everyone there, we're still in Asheville, heading to the Biltmore today. Ali
