Well we are funny and amusing. But you said to Alan to come over and entertain Ali, not entertain WITH Ali. I didn't skim this one because I was afraid you were going to say I'd be doing people's laundry.... Alan can drop his laundry in the washer, we head out and do a quick Dragon run, come back, toss it in the Dryer, we go hang out at the vendors area. That should entertain us well enough

Mark and I will be leaving Asheville on Wed morning and heading to the Dragon from there. I figure we'll arrive around noon since we're going to grocery shop on the way. I hear Asheville has some really good grocery stores, even a Whole Foods. Along with outdoor farmers markets and all kinds of healthy food options. We'll be going from a healthy food mecca to a twisty mecca Ali

I'm sure we will, but as a club dinner it may be a few months. They're one of our vendors, so we like to support them. DCMM members get a 10% discount there when they show their club badge Ali

Remember just because it shows the storm cloud doesn't mean it will rain all day. It really just means a chance of rain, so we could have many nice days with a bit of rain interrupting things. I bet it will be fine. Ali

Well that's true, we are right near 95 south. Given we're leaving on Sunday morning I think we're going to try it and hope it's less trucky.

A friend of mine has a cabin in the general area of the Dragon, so we were discussing routes. She said that she hates taking 81 because of the trucks and if it's an off time she'll take 95 down because it has more lanes and moves better. I looked on Google Maps and the difference is about 9 minutes more taking 95 south through Greensboro vs 81. Has anyone else tried this route? Ali

Yes but Mark has a Gen 2, so I do have to drive/ ride in it and he can't integrate his Sirius. So I do feel your pain as I am a bit of a Sirius addict. I literally pay for his car to have Sirius because I like it more then he does.

I'm actually doing some research into an air brush and compressor system. I can justify it for my glass art as once you have the system you can paint all kinds of stuff with it. The basic set up isn't too bad, around $200, then there's accessories and we all know how they go. Ali
