Early peak!

I'm hosting another Monday night dinner at the Hub for the early birds RSVP here https://www.facebook.com/events/220349861847024/

We don't want to be there at peak anyway. One year we did it but we went at like 10:00 at night to Hain's Point so we saw them in the dark. It was fun but a late night I may bring my camera and some lights to this one and shoot a few MINIs

Good thing we're going to Hain's point, it may still be crowded but we'll never get best the tidal basin, that thing fills by 4 if it's near peak. Do they have a prediction of peak yet?

We used to have people post to the Facebook page and share the link here but Jim isn't finding a way to post there anymore. Did Facebook change?

What morning is open for you? I think Friday is my best morning, I can shoot you and @wyretrip at the same time. It won't take too long and we'll get a pretty sunrise and maybe some fog. Can you guys do 7:00 AM? by 7:30, 7:45 we've lost the light @Sollestia We'll shoot Missy earlier in the week since we're there all week

Tigger and Max were both de-chromed with body color which I just love. Tigger has the same treatment on the black plastic bits as @agranger I love that look

I'm going to give you a photography tip. If you have a black or dark MINI and you want to shoot it against the sunrise or sunset the car will turn into a sillouette. To see your car and not wash out the sky you need to add flash or shoot the reflection of the sky in your MINI. It can be really beautiful

I'll have my gear, I'm not a vendor and I'm not charging. If you want to meet up to shoot your MINI let me know. If you clean your rims I can do a really nice pro shot of them.

I got into my runs!

you've got a pretty full schedule. FYI the ice cream run is massive, most veterans just do their own smaller groups as there's no way for everyone to stay together. It happens right after the Panoramic photo so talk to Celia about it. I think she escapes before the big run leaves so that she can get parking. We went once, it's fun but luckily we left with Celia. The Dragon parade is fast! I've never done it but I've been shooting at the boat ramp several years as they roll by, another REALLY popular run. I *Think* you'll get back in time for pinball, it's cutting it close so you might not. Like just going from Fontana, run the Dragon and back takes about 90 minutes. Skirtpalooza is AWESOME!!! @Sollestia and I are getting some crazy costumes together for the Vegas theme. Also, even on a spirited run you can have someone REALLY slow in the middle. So you just don't know what you'll get. When in doubt here, take the back then it's less stressful even if you get left behind. I would rather be left behind than drive beyond my comfort. ALSO - you can just go on a run with friends and skip almost all or all of the organized runs.

This is so true I'm leaving Saturday free and only do one run a day when I do them. I never try to squeeze in 2 runs, is too stressful
