  1. Is it OK to just bring a lunch or is that eating area only for restaurant patrons?
  2. Great MINI, I can't wait to hear what you decide as a name :top:
  3. Woo hoooo!!!! The Batmobile
  4. Congratulations and Happy Birthday Sara The movie was great but it was really special to be a part of your special night. Thanks to the club I have now been in a Harlem Shake Video and a Flash Mob engagement :top:
  5. Sooooooo, I'll let someone else explain how this event made DCMM history
  6. Catalina and I are here, we staked out space near the front
  7. Good research and very interesting. I bet we can apply it ourselves
  8. Really? I even had the top down yesterday. Are we going in opposite directions? I know when I drive down 14th I'm so focused on the traffic and the intersections that I don't look around me. I feel awful that I've missed you. I do wave, really I do!!!! :itsme: It was my first day with Tigger back yesterday, we were bonding. Maybe I was rocking to the music and telling him how much I love him so I didn't notice any other MINIs.... I wave I tell you, I'm a waver :wavey:
  9. Sounds like a sweet little MINI you have coming. :top:
  10. I love my Porter Cable and I have shoulder issues. I use Prima Car Care products and when speaking to the owners they explained that different waxes are better for different types of paint. They do sell a carnuba wax (Banana Gloss) and several Polymer waxes. They told me that if the paint is non metallic that the Carnuba will really bring out the deep shine, but it only lasts about a month. While for mettalic paint it's better to use the Polymer wax. I will apply their Epic Polymer twice a year and then in between I use the Hydro wax which is applied really fast and is a Polymer. When I do apply the Epic I will first use clay bar to clean the paint, then polish with the buffer to remove fine scratches, then a glaze to fill in any scratches left and finally Epic. This whole process will take about 3 hours so I only do it in the Spring and also in the Fall. In between I wash and then apply the Hydro seal. The in between washes are pretty quick, 30 minutes or so. Odds and Ends Detailing sells Adam's products which are also very good and he's local. Darryl will happily help you decide on the best product for you MINI. I know this sounds odd, but I really do love detailing my Tigger. I feel like I'm getting to know him better and I also get that chance to look over his exterior and find any issues that I might miss.
  11. Cool, so stylish :top:
  12. I had no idea that Minnie was even getting anything done. Sneaky... :top:
  13. This is exciting!!! How did she get up to Detroit?
  14. Al the date appears in very small font in the event description right under the event hosts name. It's also on the calendar
  15. Blues don't fade nearly as bad as reds and orange
  16. I think stripes are easier to care for and certainly cheaper to replace then if you choose a clear bra to protect your front end from paint. I hit my clear bra with the clay bar and it scratched it. There also comes a point around 3 - 4 years when most stripes look really beaten up and just plain need replacing. Luckily they aren't too expensive
  17. So I'm driving up 395 topless this morning and I see a pepper white MCS merging, I wave furiously but her head is forward and she doesn't see Tigger and I. Just as my snit is getting all worked up I look ahead and in front of me is a brand new with dealer tags Spice Orange cabrio driving topless, so shiny and looked to be a happy MINI. I stayed behind him for a while and when the split for the Pentagon City exit he went right and I stayed left. As I got up next to him I tooted the horn in a friendly bip bip bip bip way and looked over and waved :itsme: For a second he looked confused, then he got this huge smile and waved back, I looked over again and he waved again :wavey::wavey::wavey: Oh it was a happy time with us waving to each other and smiling :top: My day was made
  18. Very nice!!!!
  19. I have this lens and I just don't use it. It's a Tamron 19-35mm /3.5 - 4.5 wide angle for Canons. New it's a $200 lens, I'm finding it used for $175. I'm happy to sell it for $150. It's in great shape. It's a nice consumer lens, would be great if you're interested in landscape, not so great for portrait photography which is what I enjoy. Let me know if you're interested
  20. I'm going to bring my camera to get some fun shots
  21. Thanks for the link That would be a cool place to do a club shoot, but we'd have to get there at the crack of dawn or maybe shoot it in the middle of the winter when no one is there.
  22. That's a great shot, where is that lot???
  23. Sometimes Katy brings coffee cake to this one
  24. It's Sarah's birthday??? Awesome
