  1. I'm really, really not happy about this, but I had to cancel. The weather is looking even worse now and I don't want to go through all of the trouble to make the costume for it to be cancelled anyway. ?
  2. The weather looks horrible for Saturday.
  3. I have an eye doctor appointment on Wednesday in MD, so I won't be able to make this.
  4. I would definitely be interested in this!
  5. I'm remaining a maybe, but it's really unlikely I'll make it. I will try to meet up for lunch or desserts, though.
  6. Dana is going, but she hasn't RSVP'd yet. She's not on the website much. I know she's going because I'm helping her with Miranda's costume.
  7. I really appreciate everyone's input on this. Michael is putting the Roadster in storage for the winter and decided that it will strictly be a summer car, so no need for winter tires. His winter tires happen to be the exact size I need and they are in great shape. So, I will be going with those and then buying new wheels and summer tires in the Spring. In case you're curious, the tires are Michelin Alpins. They are really, really good winter tires but I don't think they are available anymore, at least not in the size I need.
  8. We are trying to get rid of the original wheels that came on the Roadster. They are black, 16" 6-Star Twin Spoke Alloy Wheels. They are in nearly perfect condition. They do have tires mounted, the stock Continental All-Season Runflats, but they are pretty much done. You might be able to get a little life out of them, though. They are currently being stored in Pennsylvania, but we are taking the Roadster up this weekend to put her away for the winter, so it would be the perfect time to bring them back. I don't have any pictures, but here's a link to what type of wheels they are. https://www.ebay.co.uk/p/BMW-Mini-16-Inch-R119-6-star-Twin-Spoke-Alloy-Wheel-Black-Genuine-6856969/6008067091 These will fit 2nd Gens, but if your MINI is pre-2011, the TPMS is not compatible, so it will always show the low-tire light. I'm asking $100. They will be available for pickup after 10/22/18 in Poolesville.
  9. I would like to get some opinions on tires. I have to buy new ones as the ones I was going to get from a friend are too big. Here's what I know: I want all-seasons (I have had a winter/summers before and while I'd love to do that again, I just don't have the $$ to commit to a new set of wheels right now) I don't care about run flats. I have them now, they're fine, but I carry a plug kit anyway. If they blow out, I'm still getting towed. Size 205/45R/17 They will be going on a 2016 2dr Cooper S. I currently have the Pirelli Centaurato P7s and I'm not a fan. I don't like how they handle. I've been looking at the Michelin Pilot Super Sport A/S, but I'd love to hear from "real" people and not just internet reviews. Thanks!!

  15. I haven't been there in ages! I'm a maybe due to traffic coming from Tysons and then having to drive back to Maryland.
  16. That makes sense. We had a pace car at Pocono, but they did 65mph. I was the last in the group and got over 100mph and I know the car in front of me did too. It doesn't look like I'll be going anyway. I would have to leave no later than 6am to get there. That's just not going to happen.
  17. Does anyone know if this is a "parade lap" or a free for all? There doesn't seem to be a consensus on the RVA page about it.
  18. Apparently there is a bingo supply store in Glen Burnie, MD. I'm willing to help out, but I'm not 100% sure of my plans yet. If I'm there, I'll help!

    That looks great!!
  20. I'm a maybe. Michael will probably have autocross that day if the weather is good, so I'll go with him.
  21. The Ferry is OPEN!!! It will probably be moving really slow, so plan accordingly.
  22. Does anyone who is coming tomorrow have a banner?
  23. The forecast has improved and while it will likely be overcast, there is now only a 10% of rain tomorrow morning! As of today, there Ferry is still closed. The water is going down, so there is a possibility it will open tomorrow. Be sure to check their Facebook page. I will also post an update here. I hope everyone makes it out tomorrow!!
  24. It’s not going to rain. It’s not going to rain. It’s not going to rain. It’s not going to rain.
  25. For anyone who is planning on taking the Ferry... you can't. It's been closed for the last 2 days due to high water. I don't anticipate that improving by Saturday. They have posted pictures on their Facebook page if anyone is interested in seeing how bad it is.
