My understanding is that R Comps are "barely legal" (as in yes, street legal, but barely)... and I have a hunch that they'll be AWESOME on dry pavement but you'll have to be extra careful in rain or on wet pavement. I'm genuinely interested in learning more about how they perform in rain, and I wanted to raise the issue for the benefit of other club members here who might also be interested in those tires. Since you only drive your MINI 1,000 miles per year, and I'm guessing it's mostly on sunny days, I'm sure they are a perfect setup for you. Nice choice Jay, I just picked up a set of R112 black with all season tire today since my summer only tires were getting me stuck. Wasn't planning on spending 2500 on wheels today, but couldn't help myself when I saw them mounted and balnced at PMoA today. Had them on my R99 wheels they were the best handling ties I ever had for the street and great in the rain. Put 8,000 miles on them and they looked brand new still.
