Just a heads up to all..I changed the meeting location to the Petco/Home Depot Parking lot across the street from the Outlet mall...The Light coming out of the Mall is quite quick and dont want to cut the group in half from the start...

I'm hoping everyone going to the picnic has RSVP'd. I swapped a couple of emails with them this morning and they are at their limit so we don't want to roll in with an "overload". Looking forward to having a good run and picnic!

I just emailed them a short time ago - I hope they can fit me in. If not, oh well, my fault for RSVPing too late. :frown:

It is good to start at the Home Depot only about 3 miles from Whites Ferry but make sure you leave at 10:30. That will give you time to get to the ferry, cross over, meet up with the Marylanders, and drive the direct route or twisty, hilly, country roads of western MoCo to the park... only ~3 miles longer than the direct route.

I'm still working out the bugs with Michael but here is a PROPOSED slightly longer but more fun route from the ferry to the park: (23.0 miles from the ferry to the park.) Click on the "Include Large Map" box to see the map.

Celia, btwn 10:30 and 10:45 in the parking lot at Whites Ferry (MD side). The Virginians are meeting at the Home Depot on the VA side and leaving for the ferry around 10:30. I'm hoping they are on the MD side soon after 10:45.

Is this the spot/lot to meet? http://goo.gl/maps/q8b24

I doubt if I can make the welcome party, Sunday mornings aren't free for me. I won't make be able to leave for the MOCO party until 12N-ish if at all (on the road again tomorrow eve for business and I still need to prepare)

You guys did a great job setting up the run to the picnic and Bert, your daughter was a great announcer for the navigation. Thanks a bunch for putting it all together, we really had a good time today.
