2. Welcome, Erik! Hope to meet you at the upcoming happy hour...or future events.
  3. It's really kinda been that way from the start....at least for me, haha. I always make it a dinner out. What's the point of going to HH and then trying to find something to eat afterwards?
  4. Ali, the HH is next Wednesday....unless you meant Wednesday
  5. Melissa, I'll get a table. I don't think we will have the ability to sit at the bar. Just let me know if you are coming so I know how many to reserve a table for. ...and sorry, Laura!!

OK, it's time to get together over some brews, Wednesday, May 25th. This one will be a little further west in FFX county at:

Dogfish Head Alehouse

13041 Lee Jackson Mem Hwy (State Rt. 50)

Fairfax, VA 22033

I'm setting this at 6:30 because I know Dogfish is a little far for Alexandria/Springfield/Annandale people. Feel free to come later if need be. Also, if there is a better day the week of May 23rd, then I can move as well.

Also, there is a Total Wine across the parking lot. So if you like what you tasted at Dogfish, chances are you can snap up a few bottles at Total Wine afterwards.

p.s. I want to hear Dragon stories!!! :top:

  8. I'm still planning on parking in the Target garage if there's space to fit us all in. It's a Merrifield Happy Hour custom now.
  9. I'll let Nick decide that...but if we are all trying to park together, I would think one of the garages is a safe bet. I don't think it's that far of a walk.
  10. Dima, I believe I talked to someone recently about lower control arm bushings...and although I see the "tool" you are referring to, I'm pretty sure 90% of the shops out there will drop the subframe to replace those bushings.
  11. I'm not sure where you are located...but my favorites for labor rates are: PTuning - Manassas, VA Note: PTuning is a DCMM vendor. Therefore members receive discounts on parts and labor. See official vendor list using following link. This assumes you are a full DCMM member and can view this forum. http://dcmetrominis.org/forum/topic/1800-official-vendors/ Scandinavian Import - Rockville, MD I'm sure there are other small shops that others can chime in and recommend. These two are two of the larger, non-dealer shops who definitely know what they are doing when it comes to MINIs.
  12. Any particular place you want to park, Nick? Market garage? Target Garage?

    Brakes and BBQ

I will also for sure bring beer...not sure what else.
  14. You've just missed me Senor Reinaldo Rodriguez. Btw, I'll see you at the meeting...keep your head up after that comment.
  15. True, true....I apparently have not run into you out in the wild yet....
  16. I would if people initiated. I'm tired of looking like the moron in the small car waving frantically for apparently no reason.
  17. That's hilarious. I was thinking to myself, "why did that person just flash their lights at me. I may or may not have been speeding...but really?!?!" hahaha I like the disguise.
  18. If I don't have to work that day, I'll be there as early as allowed haha.
  19. Agreed...but apparently this new coverage has started within the last month.
  20. I am very happy to report that our own insider, Celia (indicooper) informed me that BMW did in fact extend the warranty on HPFPs for certain years up to 120K miles. I figure I'd report this in case anyone else has this issue currently. It's nothing like expecting to have to shell out more than a grand and then getting the good news that it's covered.
  21. Anyone interested in an early morning run to DC to take some shots with our beloved MINIs and then a group breakfast tomorrow, Sunday March 27th?? Kilroy's breakfast (Springfield) is always good. I'm at work so I can't plan all that well, but...for those that are interested/have don't something like this before...please feel free to chime in!!!
