  1. hahah...that's good to know! Thanks, Laura
  2. Saw you again this morning...don't let the slickness fool you. I'm still living on borrowed time with that fuel pump lol
  3. All because they are a crappy part to begin with and people need them...often. So why not jack up the price? Hard to run your car without it if it totally fails. :hmpf:
  4. Holy crap...it looks like the same part. That's ridiculous. Too bad it's not still that price haha
  5. True, true...let me see what I can find out. Thank you, Corey and Laura
  6. No worries...I was not expecting you to get involved. But I do appreciate the help :top: I talked to Kristen today. The pump I replaced less than two years ago was done so under warranty. Apparently the 2 year unlimited warranty only applies to parts paid out-of-pocket and does not apply to parts originally replaced under warranty. Does this ring a bell to you? Knowing car manufacturers, this sounds right lol
  7. Well considering I bought the car in March of 14 and it failed months after that...it hasn't been two years. Don't you guys have all of my service history? You as in service department. Obviously, you're not involved with that.
  8. Thanks, Corey. I'm mostly just frustrated...hence the post. I appreciate the info. I hope things are well overseas.
  9. Thank you. I know what I'm putting up with owning this car. But when it wants to rain, it pours. And I've had this car in and out of different shops and I swear everyone find something different wrong. I'll talk to Ptuning too...only issue is I work in Rockville
  10. I'm pretty frustrated. I had the HPFP replaced at 45k and the replacement is going bad at 86K. Do these things really only last 40k? So far I've been quoted no less than 1,200 for the part alone. On top of that, I have a upper radiator hose that's supposedly leaking and leaking oil filter housing seals. We are taking about 2,500 in additional repairs after just spending 500 to fixing an earlier oil leak. Any help anyone can offer with sourcing parts or finding a reliable mechanic who isn't going to feed me a bunch of bull. I have to take care of the fuel pump soon, obviously...I'm just not sure where to start.
  11. We saw you too! :top: Too bad the lighting/weather made it hard to wave.
  12. Just to join in on the misery, my 2011 was in the shop over the weekend as well. Check engine light came on Saturday I limped it to PMoA (glad I was nearby). Oil line leak and coolant issues. I'd rather not say how much it may cost. At least the oil issue has been fixed. I thought the car was running "rough" and I did smell oil burning a time or two last week. Of course I looked under the car to see if I could obviously tell it was leaking. Nope. For now, it's back on the road and running well...but that coolant issue has to be fixed sooner rather than later........:hmpf: On a note more relative to the post, I had my HPFP go at 45K though it wasn't immediate. The check engine light would come on sporadically. Sometimes it would go into limp mode and sometimes it wouldn't. I've also had plugs and coil issues. All my coils were changed at 55K and my plugs were swapped for NGKs at 65K. I have 84K on the vehicle now.
  13. Bump...
  14. EDIT: I added the date on the invite.
  15. Blasphemy!!!
  16. Nice pictures they've got there. Thanks for the link. Maybe I'll try to make the PMoA one.
  17. MoCo was last night I believe. Anyone hear anything of interest?
  18. I'll be home around 5:30-5:45ish...so I can grab the table at anytime if you feel you are going to be later than you want for whatever reason.
  19. I love that dogfish is 5 min from my house. Win-win-win situation.
  20. I'm interested only in that I'd like to get my front windows re-tinted to the same % as the rear. The only thing is that I'm pretty sure it would be illegal on the front. Might be worth coming out anyway just to chat about it.
  21. For any of you that may get here early-ish...I'm on the same floor of the target garage we parked on last time (top floor, I think).
  22. The dry run was completed over the weekend and I am happy to report that the restaurant and most of the buildings highlighted by the ghost tour SEEM unaffected by the fire that happened earlier this year. The route is clear and the fall colors should be strong on Saturday. I look forward to seeing everyone
  23. I live in an apartment complex and since this meeting is on a Sunday @ 5:00, parking will be challenging. Expect to park and walk a bit. Also, this may go without saying, but...do not park underneath any of the carports. I don't want anyone to have to go fetch their MINI from a towing yard. Just thought I'd give a heads up :top:
  24. UPDATE: Please be in Leesburg by 2:00 at the latest. If you are coming from the Halloween party at PMOA, you should have plenty of time to get to Leesburg. Wheels up @ 2:30 with the idea of being in Harper's Ferry by 4:00. Dinner will be between 4 - 6. The ghost tour will be at 6:00 pm.
  25. Thank you, Sir!
