The best way to learn is to get hands on. Next time there is a mod day at the garage mahal (or anywhere) show up and get your hands dirty, even if it isn't your car. That's how I learned when I was a young padawan.

Sway bar and coilovers ordered today, should arrive by Friday.

Nice use of government resources, shipmate! ...as I spend 30 minutes reading the latest on Teen Mom. :flute:
I was doing some research for ummm a case...

I hate you. Bad enough that I'm not going this year (4x veteran) but to rub salt in the wound, it's tax day!

My day has been ruined! I'm not going to this event and I'm not happy about it. I want to go but I'm not riding a sport bike that far, I'd be stuck in a riding position hours after I completed the trip.
Rent a truck!

I'm here to ruin your productivity, HAPPY MONDAY!

Some iPhone shots from a meetup I went to in a kohl's lot in fairfax today.
I was there today with the lotus group, the green mustang was getting a ticket when I drove by.

We won't be there in time :banghead:

Just got home from P-Tuned. It's an impressive shop.
Mark and I got there early, then Tyler arrived. Mark left to get his hair cut so I hung out with Tyler while the Elise was aligned. Afterwards it took all of 2 seconds to convince Tyler to scratch 66 on the way home and go the long twisty route through Clifton.
We had a pretty good run on Compton, a few interruptions on Clifton road and at the end...... a Prius :banghead:
Still it was a fun run and Tigger was feeling really good. We feel Dragon ready!!!
Pretty much everything Ali said! Justin thanks for everything, car feels great right now. I'll really test it next weekend woot!
I told Justin to accidentally steal the Elise and place it in my driveway. He said no, he's no fun. Sorry Tyler, I guess you get to keep your car after all.Haha, fair enough, when I was paying my bill I tried to tell the guy who rang me up that Justin said I could have a set of Advans or volks.....didn't work.

Damn, night runs with you guys will just be like day runs.

I can be a sweeper since I'm the odd ball anyways.

but but but, just a few hours and then you'll be motivated to work.
AJ from autocross saw the Veryron in Bethesda yesterday, they're selling it for $1.8 million, he said it will be there
Sara and I are debating on whether to attend, it depends on how we feel in the morning.

Minnie's windows are being tinted this weekend - that counts, right?:girl:
And you got your badge holders!!

I've driven an Elise before. I can sum it up in two words: "Pure sex".
Unbelievable machine. Makes our wonderful-handling MINIs seem like pickup trucks. They stick like nobody's business.
Word to the wise for those going for a ride (although I'm sure Tyler will communicate this to them clearly)... getting in and out of an Elise is a challenge in itself. The proper way is to turn sideways, facing away from the car, and sit, then swivel your legs in to the car. Under no circumstances are you supposed to use the windshield to brace yourself for entry & exit, because you can very easily crack the windshield. The entire car is designed for light weight, not strength!
Yes, unlike most convertables the windshield frame is not structural. But I wouldn't say that it makes MINIs feel like a truck. I drive Sara's all the time and it's a blast. I can't wait to do a lap on the dragon with it!
-
Can we get some wings on that Elise??? :questionmark:
I also want a ride in it, I love those things and I've never been in one. I promise not to get t he drool on the interior. Just don't tell Tigger
Of course you can, don't worry about the interior...there really isn't one. You just gave me a great idea!!

This forum is going to be so dead when everyone starts to leave for MOTD
-
I know that the token xA is going to be MINI-fied somehow too.
Ooohh, I myself will be rockin the new 10 year anni. window cling on the Elise.
-
Has anyone installed any new mods for the dragon this year? For this trip the car will be sporting new brake pads (Ferodo DS2500s) a new tune, and a custom alignment. Anyone else?
-
Bwa ha ha ha ha the morning is MINE!!!!! Justin told me that it won't take an hour and a half for each MINI. You should show up earlier then we can hang out and if we're done early you can jump in.
That's exactly what I was thinking.
