  1. So, how did I manage to spend 100 Bones on MOTD registration this year?!?!?

Geez! Could the tshirts be more awesome?!??

I know right!!? I wanted the Brew Swap, Moonshine and Donut shirts, but was strong and only got the Donut shirt.

  2. On our way home for Christmas Sara and I stopped at the North Carolina Museum of Art for their special Porsche exhibit. It runs through mid January, if you are in the area I highly recommend a visit. Below are a few of the shots I took.

  3. wow, thanks for the responses!

I'm going to respond to the rest of these, Amanda's forcing me off, have to go stupid christmas shopping, really appreciate the feedback!!

Wow, that does look nice. I was talking to Sara (omgMINI) about your list this morning. We weren't sure if you wanted an actual projector lense or just wanted to retro fit the HIDs into your halogen housing. I'm thinking you could find a used set of projector headlights and an off the shelf set of HIDs (DDM tuning or something) and piece it together for under $1k. At 72k miles your stock struts have to be worn out. Unless you are going to have your suspension tuned and corner balanced a set of coil overs would be a waste of money. You are most likely going to set it once and forget it. So I would suggest a nice set of quality aftermarket struts (Koni yellows or FSDs) ones made to handle aftermarket springs. You can get this for $800.

Of course this all depends on what you want to do with the car and how long you plan on keeping it. I know your interior is gutted, do you still have all the pieces? That will kill your resale value and aftermarket mods won't help bring it up. So if you do anything, make sure it is reversable or you will just be throwin money away.

  4. The offers of help are much appreciated and trust me, we'll be reaching out. Funny though, I haven't seen anyone calling dibs on which one of the dogs they want to keep them cuddled...

Yes Melissa, we'll keep reminders of the date as we cannot have you missing this again. But then, on second thought, if you do show up a day late with the bbq pork and sweet taters, I wouldn't call a party foul on it! :)

Get a cat and then we'll talk cuddles :Squeee:

  5. We currently have both Passport dealers Alexandria and MoCo on board. We are waiting to hear back from Sterling and about to chat with Annapolis.

This should be a fun event. I think we have four drive leaders from the planning but I'd love to hear confirmation.

Looking forward to a fun event

I (or Sara) have no issues being a lead driver.

  6. wow...thank you all so much for the quick responses! I gave PTuning a call this afternoon (talked to Abel), he asked me to fire him a picture of the resonator that I wanted deleted and he'll gen up a quote. I definitely made mention that folks on here highly recommended this establishment...and they also give a military discount which can only help! It'd a helluva drive for me but ****...I commute from Rockville to Chantilly anyway...what's another couple miles to Manassas!

just...random input here but, what I'd like to do is delete my resonator and second cat to help bring out a more throaty/deeper tone from my invidia q300. I'm on the fence about adding a WMW catless downpipe (currently on sale for 299) but I don't know if I want to deal with the hassle of swapping the stock catted version in and out before every inspection. plus...though I'm not a tree hugger or anything, I am environmentally conscious enough to know I'd be a douche for running a completely catless system...especially since I'd be doing it purely for sound and not performance. and I prefer to not be a douche haha. I'm hoping the resonator/2nd cat delete would be enough of a tone changer to satisfy me...from what I've seen on youtube, I think i'll be content.

    thanks again!

I though MD only did one initial inspection when you register the car?
