  1. Glad you found someone to buy your boat. My dad had asked me to ask you if it was still available as he would possibly consider buying it. If it doesn't work out, I think he'd like to see it!
  2. I'm interested! Don't have a meet up suggestion though.
  3. Craig, still interested in trying out your car cover, but we'll work out a price after we test it out on Lola! Excited for you guys!
  4. So I joined MA today after reading your post. Boy is that site complicated and busy, but I can see that it does have good MINI information from a bigger audience. Then I looked at NAM and I decided not to join because I wouldn't be able to keep up with that many forums.
  5. Oops that was me. I did bring potato salad and potato salad, and my dad did loan me a camera case, but I spent too much time taking photos... lol. Thanks for holding on to it for me.
  6. Hey everyone. We had a really great time today, just sad we had to leave early to head to the airport. I just uploaded my photos and a short video of the MINIs all lined up on my facebook page for Lola (link in my signature). Also I asked Lona today when the follow-up BBQ would be to finish all the food... Aug Dinner maybe? Just Kidding. Again thanks to everyone who put it together. Amazing job as always!
  7. Just want to make sure I don't leave anyone waiting for us. I didn't see anyone post that they'd like to join us on the Ferry route so we'll just leave directly from the house. If you're still interested PM or email me and we'll meet up. Otherwise we're really looking forward to the picnic. See you there!
  8. Yup, it's not a formal event, but whomever would like to join us it will be fun to grab a photo of the ferry full of MINIs!
  9. So cool. My dad just told me he's taking me through the scenic route and we're taking the White Ferry accross the Potomac River on our way to the picnic. If anyone would like to meet us at Wegmans of Sterling to ride together please let me know. Route takes a little over an hour so we could plan to meet at 10:30am. http://canal.mcmullans.org/whites_ferry.htm White Ferry is the only ferry that still runs on the Potomac. $4 one way, $6 round trip.
  10. My family loves Bocce, I know we have at least one set... maybe two.
  11. Could you take a photo of it? Does it take more than one person to put it on? I just might be interested. Getting a car wash every few days because of bird ... is getting really expensive.
  12. Yeah!!! Good to meet you on the road!
  13. Got a nice :wavey: from the owner of "MINI BEE" (MCS) on Rt 7 in Leesburg on my new commute to work (leaving a half hour before I used to get up in Arlington... sigh...).
  14. Great job you guys! My parents and I had a really great time! I know it was a lot of hard work to put that together!
  15. The payment for this event is done though the Melanoma fundraising website. Membership payments to DCMM is done through paypal on under User CP. Anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
  16. Craig have two more people who are interested. Can we add them or should they make their own RSVP?
  17. Craig, please count on four of us. Everyone confirmed to time and price.
  18. K, so my girlfriends just confirmed with me so that's at least 3 of us (4 if I bring the step-daughter). If I get more people, we'll have another car (non-MINI though). My group would be coming from Arlington area. Would you want to meet in Harper's Ferry or closer to home and ride together? What time are you thinking?
  19. Craig will have to validate my information, but a couple weeks ago he said he was going to go with the company BTI Whitewater (AKA Butt Tubes Inc) which is based out of Harpers Ferry, WV. http://www.btiwhitewater.com/kayaking/ Recreational Kayaking! Enjoy a get-in-and-go hard boat kayaking experience on the scenic flatwater of the Potomac River. Each of our Old Town kayaks comes with a comfort flex adjustable, padded seat and cup holder that allows you to have a stable and comfortable ride. Experience the freedom and independence of paddling at your own pace. BTI provides the boat, paddle, life vest, and shuttles to and from the river. The half day experience takes about 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 hours. Our kayaks are suitable for ages 12 and up. All kayakers must know how to swim. Price is $35 for half day. $70 for full day.
  20. Have fun guys, wish I could be there!
