  1. tattrat, Lt. Dan, Salmi, spoke with Wardell and he said to come by he will be ok doing the windshield strip and back window. But you might have to wait in between cars or at the end of the day.

  2. Finally got everything together. Hadn't posted pics before because everything was kind of being done at the same time. Just washed/waxed her up and took a couple pics.

The hood isn't really debadged. The emblem is off right now, but I used a bit of photoshop to cover up the holes for the sake of the picture. lol. I'm going to order a new hood emblem soon.

    Sharp! I dig it!

  3. Thank you all to everyone who came and participated. Even though we had a significant drop in numbers (30 -> 18), largely due to the weather, we still proved that, even in the rain, the Spring Fling is still lots of fun!

The fog on Blueridge Mountain Road sure was spooky & eerie - in all the years I have driven that road, at least twice per year (for the practice run & the event itself), I've never seen that.

It was really great how Griffin Tavern went the extra mile, too - with decorations for us. Totally their doing, not my idea, BTW.

I hope no one minds, but I sent them an email thanking them for such great service and attention to detail. As an industry professional, I notice a lot of little things when going out, and they really do a great job there! I really enjoyed it!

  4. Despite the far from ideal weather, it was a great time, and was a real treat to see folks, and meet some new ones!

Scott and Doreen had a blast as well!

I didn't catch his name, but if anyone can link me to the guy with the awesome little daughter that was high fiving everyone, I have a few candid pics he might like.

Lunch was great, as expected! The really do a great job out there at the Griffin Tavern!

The very few pics I got, can be seen HERE. If anyone wants non marked photos, let me know, 'm happy to pass the files along.

  5. All,

It is a really bittersweet day for me as it was my last day with my MINI. We had a great run and I will miss Wolfgang dearly. That said, I couldn't be happier that Wolfie is being adopted by a really cool couple and staying in the DCMM and Miniac family! Congrats, TATRAT! I really hope you enjoy! I will have peace of mind knowing that he'll be running free again like he was meant to be! Godspeed!

(With any luck, I'll be back in the MINI community again someday soon with another MINI )

@Haemish: Sorry, buddy. The cover went with the car :)

@Brian: Haha...just give me a ride in that Jeep one of these days! By the way, I have a photo of us at MINI United that I want to give a copy of to you.

All smiles here, it was great meeting you and thanks for all your patience!
