  4. Driving home down 395 in a massive jam feeling grumpy when I look to my left and there's a guy in a BRG Clubman giving me the thumbs up. I waved right back as he was speeding off, so I hope he saw me. That guy put a big smile on my face and made the commute a better time, thanks BRG Clubbie guy :top:

  7. I checked the bylaws and unfortunately you must be present to vote A. ELECTIONS PROCEDURE 1. The President shall have the responsibility of overseeing the election, except when the President is one of the candidates (for re-election). In this case, the election shall be overseen by another board director who is not a candidate. 2. All election candidates shall be given an opportunity to briefly speak at the annual meeting to introduce themselves and campaign for their candidacy, prior to voting. This speech is optional and no candidate shall be compelled to speak. 3. Voting a. Voting will be by secret ballot. b. Voting will be by members in good standing, present at the time and place of the meeting designated for the election. c. In cases of a tie, a second ballot between the tied candidates shall take place. If a tie still exists, candidates tied will participate in a coin toss to determine the winner. 4. Ballots will include all nominees. Last minute write-in candidates are permissible, and space shall be provisioned on ballots to allow for this. 5. Ballots will be collected and votes recorded by an Elections Committee. The Board of Directors will appoint the Chair of the Elections Committee. 6. Certification a. The President will verify the results and present the new Board of Directors for installation at the time of the election.

  9. It usually starts in the morning and ends with lunch. It's not an all day event. It will start at Passport MINI or Alexandria and the cars are staged at Landmark Mall across the street.

  22. Driving home yesterday and I see a MINI in a parking lot next to the road with the bonnet up. Yeah I'm in a rush, always am but I pulled over to see if I could help. He wasn't a club member but he was in a MINI and of course that makes him part of the MINI family. He was pretty sure his water pump was going and didn't know a good mechanic. I told him about a few places and gave him the number for PMoA. Get this- He had a Chili red S with 29,000 miles on it!!!! Car looked like it was in amazing shape, well except for that water pump I have his card so I can follow up and see how things worked out. Hopefully we can get him to come join us
