Welcome to our newest vendor Here's the message I got when they approached us about being a vendor. It tells about them and why we want to embrace them as a vendor We are a full service shop that works MINIs and many other makes and models. I worked at BMW/MINI sterling and was a shop foreman/ master technician. Shawn Peace was the lead service writer for MINI of Richmond and opened that store when MINI was first in the states. Then later he went to work at BMW/MINI of sterling from 2004-2014. We have a large flowing from the MINI community and more times then not have 5+ MINIs in our shop. I would like to talk to you more about what we can do for DC Metro MINIs, host car shows, tech time, and open house events to get you guys in the shop working on your cars! This happened last time at Matchbox. I reserved a table and a bunch of maybe people showed uo. We had to move, then get a bigger table attached

Well to be safe we booked K Royale Lakefront inn, for $120 per night. There are still rooms left at reasonable prices but doesn't look like a lot. We can cancel by Aug 2 if we can't make it

I'm not sure we can go :-( It's the weekend before the family beach trip and getting leave will be tough.

How to create a new event. What you need to do is the following: Go to the calendar (not this events thread, look to the top under Browse) Click on Create Event Select the date and date options you would like. "Submit an Event" and it will appear on the events as a new thread post here in the events. You don't need to open up RSVPs right away. If your event is over a month away you may want to wait until it's closer and then open up the RSVPs. Always include the following once RSVPs are open Date: Meeting time: Wheels up time: Meeting place: Description of event Once it's within a month of the event it can be "Stickied" so that it always stays on the top If you want to go more casual you can always use the Impromptu events forum which is a sub forum to the events. Just post your plans there, we generally ask that it be something within a week and that you're actually planning to attend.

Thank you to everyone that helped make the picnic a success. We had a great time with everyone and will happily host again if people want it. It was nice having the air conditioning option too. Someone left a potato salad with peas in their serving dish.

Great At this point I have no idea if we have enough chairs so if you have room please bring them We do have lots of banquet tables and tents to make shade
