I can recommend a good shop for repairing your seat Seatco in Falls Church, they replaced the top on my old Celica and did great work at fair prices. Sorry to hear all this, when it rains it pours.

Last night on the way home I saw a brand spanking new Chili red roadster on 395 going South. Of course traffic was slowing and he was in the left while I was in the middle lane. They call that smile the permagrin The shrooming is real and the prevention is cheap. At least I know it's an issue for the first gens, I thought second also, but I'm a first gen driver. Sway bars help the rear of your car come around faster in a turn, our front wheel drives are prone to understeer. You just have to keep going to autocross, and take the school and some how the cones start to make sense. It just happens

Great to have grill helpers. We checked out the site on Sunday and it comes with a huge double grill and then 3 more single grills. The pavillion is pretty large and there's a nice flat grassy area in front of the pavillion and on the other side of the street. It's a nice park, we should have a great time.

You-if-ication!!! You do what you want with your MINI, don't let anyone bully you into de-chroming. Audrey and Greg have enhanced the chrome their MINIs and are very happy with it. If we all blacked out we would all start to look the same. I'm getting rid of chrome on my Tigger, but usually with body color or gunmetal. Just enjoy your baby, that's the important part.

Been there, it just means you need to come back and learn more. I've always been in the bottom 3. Don't let that discourage you. I don't look at autocross as a competition with anyone but myself. I've learned a ton about my car and my abilities because of autocross. Keep having fun with it!

Welcome to you and Blak I love to see a MINI with a name, it shows the love :love: You were asking about the CAI, I think a lot of the second gens are running the Defenders of Speed. I have a first gen and run a DDM Works, they make one for 2nd gens too. I'm sure you'll get better feedback from the members that are actually driving second gens then from me. It's great to hear how excited you are about your MINI, the obsession only grows. These little guys are too much fun :motor:

I have some cloth charcoal gray seat covers that I am not going to use. If you're interested let me know. I bought them used for $100 and would sell them for that.

You just need seat time now to improve. They only let you take the class once, but when you go back for autocross you can ask to have an instructor ride along once in a while to help you out. Just keep doing it and don't get discouraged :top: At least you're out there trying and having fun!!!
