  1. No car wash spot at my apartment. . .but Ft Meyer has one!? Ha! That's a block from my apt. I've got a CAC so should be no problem getting in. Perfect! Thanks! Beau
  2. Pics look great! Thanks for shooting and editing!
  3. I'll bump this. . I live in Rosslyn and would like to find a DIY style carwash. I've been a couple touchless washes but would really rather have a wand where I can spend the extra time on the bits that really need it.
  4. Alice and I have discussed and we've come to the conclusion that you're a cool bunch of cats! Can't wait to see you all at the next meet!
  5. Forgot to mention http://www.car-part.com for used OEM parts.
  6. I ran EBC Green pads for a while and they helped a ton with the dust. . .but they don't look nearly as cool as black wheels
  7. Hi All, I'm trying to find an exhaust shop that does stainless (one of the exhuast hangers on my aftermarket exhaust broke loose.) Anyone have any recommendations? Thanks! Beau
  8. **********SOLD************* I'm selling a brand new uninstalled Stratmosphere exhaust. Couple dings in the straight pipe from being moved around my garage and but the mufflers/tips are still in the bubblewrap and are new. Stratsmosphere exhaust is identical to the milltec exhaust but made in the states (Str was licensed by milltec if i recall the story correctly. . .just makes it cheaper since they aren't shipping and tarriffs from being imported from the UK.) It's supposed to be the quietest of the aftermarket exhausts and according to a certain dyno tested shootout (can't seem to find the article now that I'm hunting for it) it got only 1hp less than the highest hp of any of the aftermarkets tested in the shootout (Seems like they tested the borla, alta, milltek, JCW, stock, and uniball). That's why I decided on this particular exhaust. But I haven't heard/felt it in person so I can't give you my personal .02 on it. I'm selling it because I changed my idea on my modding path and decided not to install it. (I'm running a RMW exhaust now.) Bought it for $799 plus shipping, yours for $700. (seriously. . .brand new) I'm not interested in shipping because I'm lazy and don't want to find a box for it. I'm located in Arlington. . .If you're close I can even help you install it granted you have a driveway or garage that we can work in. I've got tools and jackstands. (I of course would be thrilled if you sweetened the deal for this with a couple of beers.)
  9. I've had tremendous luck over at Way Motor Works. . .Way is a wealth of knowledge and will sell you the parts that you need rather than what is the most expensive. He hasn't steered me wrong.
  10. I ran EBC Green pads for a while, those really helped out with the dust. But they don't look nearly as awesome as the black wheels
  11. Hello all! I fairly recently moved to Arlington after working and living overseas extensively for the last few years. This last weekend I was finally able to get Alice pulled out of storage and drove her from Kansas out to my new home here. I ordered Alice back in '05 and have done a ton of road trips and adventures with her. She's been to both coasts and all over in between. She looks mostly stock but has had a bit of engine and suspension work done here and there. At the moment she's in need of a detailing since she's been living in storage since '08 except for a few weekends here and there. Also need to get some gremlins worked out of her as well (probably also being cranky with me for not having her out and about more.) Hopefully I'll see a few of you at the Mini shoot in a few days. Cheers! Beau
