Should I bring my big white cooler? It holds a lot of ice and drinks.

I decided to bring a fruit plate instead. Hopefully, this will balance the sugar tonnage. Was wondering about that...hopefully, it's fire proof.

It's called a "refrigerator". Yes, I get as excited as any of the newbies come Dragon time. It's so much fun, how could I not? I get to see friends I haven't seen for a year, and be treated with worshipful awe by all. The cabins are quite complete as far as basics. Some have hard wired phones, some don't. A prepaid calling card is a must for one's supply list. Bear bells are optional. Laura forgot hers this year, but she survived, tho' I don't know how as she forgot the "How to avoid or survive a bear attack" book I gave her. As to the number of pairs of shoes one is required to bring...it totally depends on one's fashion sense.

Hang on to it. That spare bed room will be grabbed in a heart beat next year. You never know...perhaps even if you share with a stranger, you might become good friends as a result. Getting wait listed wouldn't be a bad idea either. Having one's own cabin is a plus as you can make your own meals if you're so inclined.

Call Fontana TODAY and if you can't get a room/cabin, at least you'll be high up on the waiting list. Fontana is definitely the place to stay. Tapoco would be second choice...it's the closest accommodation to Fontana. I think I heard rates are going up next year at Fontana. I think if you go to their website, you'll see pricing.

Thank you all for coming, it meant a great deal to me since I spent my actual birthday alone for the 1st time in my life. Thank you all for the gifts as well! Sherm, you're next!!

Don't forget, this is BYOB. I'll have some soda, ice and maybe some iced tea. There's a liquor store 1/2 mile from my house, just in case. If you are coming late and my driveway's full of cars (tho' if we park carefully, we all should fit), there's parking on Road's End, which is half a block south of my house. So, I have a big birthday coming up on 6/6. Rather than wallow in self-pity. I'm going to throw myself a party. It'll be on 6/9, starting at 5PM at my house. I'm going to have it catered (lots of hors d'oevres), but you all can bring your favorite beverage. Presents? Hell yeah! So, I'm going to need a head count ASAP...none of this waiting til the last minute to RSVP. I hope everyone who can make it will come, even if we haven't met yet.
