  1. Absolutely!! Just update your RSVP to reflect the correct number of people. Just to be clear, EVERYONE is welcome - whether or not they are a member and whether or not they drive a MINI.
  2. I also have an extra camera, if someone needs one. If you have one, a clipboard will be extremely helpful for you to have. I think I have a couple of extra ones, but I'm not sure.
  3. Passport will wash it for you, but it's a pretty rough car wash. There's a touchless wash at the Sunoco station on Gallows Rd in Merrifield and also at the Sunoco station on Rt 7, next door to Public House. I'm washing Cricket tomorrow night, if you want to come into DC, I'd be happy to wash yours, too. Otherwise, I usually have a small detailing kit in the car. You could use the quick detailer spray to get the worst off.
  4. Don't forget, by attending the happy hour, you're able to purchase raffle tickets for the prizes!
  5. I've made a couple of changes this year that I think will help make the scoring go faster at the end. In the past, each clue was worth a different amount of points based on the location or difficulty of finding it. This year, each clue is worth 1 point and there are 100 clues. That will eliminate the need to check the math several times.
  6. As of right now, there are only 6 teams/cars signed up. I know some of you out there are on the fence... come on... Saturday is supposed to be a beautiful day! What could be more fun than supporting wildlife rescue will driving your MINI?
  7. When you can't get too far outside the city... Rock Creek Parkway (especially when it's reversed during rush hour). Kirby Road (off of 123, near the GW Parkway) Georgetown Pike (though, this can get congested with school buses and minivans).
  8. He often brings his classic Mini, so not everyone knows he has two.
  9. Obsessive (John aka Celia's Dad) was the first Roadster.
  10. My apartment in Falls Church sent out a letter stating that the police could come on the property at any time and ticket any car that didn't have a sticker and VA tags. It's ridiculous.
  11. It works with the Kiwi. I tried it last night.
  12. I'm guessing you could fight it. What if you're a tourist just passing through? Are you supposed to get rid of your tint just because it's not legal where you are going?
  13. I found Track Addict HD for the iPhone. It was $5.99 for the App. You still need an OBDII connection, but I have that. Maybe I'll try it on my way home from work. Wouldn't that be exciting?
  14. I think a lot of them don't think they have to observe basic traffic safety regardless of where they are.
  15. There was a guy (or girl) who came flying past our cabin very late one night. I went out to see who it was and couldn't tell because they had their lights off!! Haemish mentioned it to Nate, who said he knew who it was, so hopefully he said something to this person. People need to use common sense, but sadly, that's not something everyone seems to have.
  16. Try it now. It works.
  17. This video was posted on Motoring Alliance. You may have seen the Leg Daddy Racing Countryman at MOTD (they were in the car show). This is a video they produced and are proud of. Check out their Facebook page, it's there too. It's also posted on Tar Heel MINIs (where they are getting a well-deserved bashing). This type of driving makes our entire community look bad. The truly sad part is these guys are supposed to be "professionals". :banghead:
  18. I just set up a separate event for the happy hour following the Scavenger Hunt. Please RSVP there if you are only attending the happy hour. It's very important that I know how many hunt participants we have.
  19. until

  21. We will be at Public House until around 6-6:30 at least. You do not have to participate in the scavenger hunt to come to Public House. Since it's a charity event, we will be having a raffle for some pretty cool prizes, so the more people who come out the better!
  22. You're way ahead of the Beetle, now!!
  23. I voted! I'll vote again, too. We also get let the pink eyelashed MINI win. Though, I feel bad for it. It's mom should be embarrassed. :stupid:
  24. I'd just like to point out this was a "team" effort, so be sure any retailiation is directed at all involved parties.
