I was just coming in to post the same thing! I guess this means I need to wash Cricket tonight...
-
Tickets bought and RSVP'd with HR! Now to find time to wash the car(s)....

I've seen SUVBAIT on the GW Parkway.

I'm staying in the area, just downsizing the stuff I won't need and don't want to move.

I'm moving at the end of September, so I'm getting rid of a lot of my furniture. I'll post pictures is someone is interested in something specific. Queen size bed - mattress, box spring, and frame. The mattress is 3 years old, clean, I always had a mattress topper on it. The box spring is older, but in good shape. The frame is practically brand new and is adjustable to different size beds. $50 for all (less than the cost of just the frame!) File Cabinet/Drawers - This matches the desk. http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/40244751/#/40244751 (The drawers on mine are white, not brown). $40 Coffee Table - http://www.kohls.com/product/prd-1352098/winsome-morris-coffee-table.jsp There is a nick on one of the corners. It came that way. I didn't want the hassle of sending it back. $100 Side Table - http://www.wayfair.com/Winsome-Morris-End-Table-92312-WN1697.html There's stain on the top where I spilled nail polish remover. You might be able to hide it with a lamp. $25 Coffee Maker - http://www.target.com/p/bella-dots-12-cup-manual-coffee-maker-assorted-colors/-/A-14853598 $10 Toaster - I'm pretty sure I've never used it... http://www.target.com/p/bella-dots-2-slice-toaster-assorted-colors/-/A-14866870?reco=Rec|pdp|14866870|ClickCP|item_page.vertical_1&lnk=Rec|pdp|ClickCP|item_page.vertical_1 $10 TV Stand - This is in excellent condition! http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/60250963/ $150 - This sits on top of the bottom piece - http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/10250970/ $60 or $200 for both -These pieces are really nice, they aren't the usually Ikea stuff. They are much more sturdy. Couch - FREE!!! It looks ok, but the supports are broken. It's big and heavy and doesn't fit in my elevator, so it has to be carried down from the 4th floor. However, it's FREE!!! If you take the couch, I'd be happy to throw in a 6-pack of your favorite beer!

A friend of mine who lives in Cleveland complained on Facebook this morning about being stuck in traffic due to the police having the roads closed. They were closed due to MTTS. She saw the hundreds of MINIs go by and saw Tigger!!:motor:

I'm selling my X Box 360 4GB with Kinect. It includes: 2 controllers (one still in the package) Charge and play (still in package) Power and HDMI cables 4 Games - Just Dance 4, Wipeout 3, Kinect Adventures and Disneyland Adventures - All are new, in the packaging. I've played this once since I bought it, so I figured I should let someone else enjoy it! Asking $200 for entire package.

GreenCactus replied to PTUNING's topic in Vendor Discussions
I meant to do this awhile ago, but here's a video of Cricket's exhaust. -

She's just getting a check up! I hope Ebony is back on the road soon.

I have them posted on Craigslist, too.

I have two tickets to tonight's performance of Carmen at Wolf Trap that I can't use. They are lawn seats and the show starts at 8:15. The gates open 90 minutes before. Face value is $25 each, but I'd rather someone use them. They are physical tickets, so I'd need to meet up with the buyer. I work in Rosslyn and can probably meet just about anywhere.

I think I set a record for most waves today. I got 3!! 1. Black Cabrio on 395N 2. Black Cabrio on MacArthur, just past Great Falls 3. BRG Cabrio on Partnership at Sugarland.

It looks there are a few people who are ending their trip in Bethlehem, PA. That's the only stop we're doing and since it's on a Friday, if people want to stick around for an extra day I can put some things together. I was thinking a winery during the day... http://www.galenglen.com/ We've been here several times and it's very good (and very reasonable)> In the evening (weather permitting) we could go to the racetrack. It's an interesting experience. http://www.mahoningvalley-speedway.com/ If there's interest I can create a separate event.

A few things for Saturday... If you haven't already, friend "Cricket S. Cooper" on Facebook and/or follow "cricketthemini" on Twitter. She might give out some helpful hints throughout the day. Bring a clipboard if you have one. It will make it easier to check off the items you've found. The end point is indoor (important if you remember the last scavenger hunt) and plenty for food and drinks will be available for purchase. It is family friendly, in case there are any kids. However, it is not pet friendly (unfortunately).

I hope everyone is getting excited!! We're only a couple of days away, so if the "maybes" could firm up their RSVPs, that would be great. I want to make sure I have enough packets for everyone. If you only want to join at the end, please put that in your RSVP and PM me so I can tell you the location. You can also talk to me at the Meet and Greet. Everyone is welcome to participate, whether or not you have a MINI/Mini. The 3rd place team at the last Scavenger Hunt was in a Corvette.

Here are the rules from the last scavenger hunt. They are subject to change, but probably not too much. Rules 1. You may not start until 11:00am 2. You must check in by by 4:00pm. You will be penalized 1 point for every minute you’re late. 3. This is NOT a race! You will be disqualified if you get pulled over. a. There is an envelope in your packet marked “Driver’s License”. Every member of your team who has a license must put it in the envelope and then seal the envelope. If the seal is broken upon your return, you’re disqualified. 4. You ARE allowed to use the internet and GPS. You can also ask other DCMMers, but they don’t have to answer. 5. Items must be “real” not toys, pictures, models, etc., unless specifically stated. 6. Pictures of items must be within a “reasonable distance” of the object/item. Reasonable distance is defined as no more than a 5 minute walk from where the picture is taken. 7. You need to name your team. It can be creative or just a number, but we need a way to identify you.
-
Steph - yes, you can use your GPS or Google or any other means of finding things. It's too hard to police that type of thing, so it's easier to just allow it.
-
Yes. She always has. There are no leaks. I just have to keep on top of checking it. 2007 S, about a quart every other month.
-
I'm not going to answer that. It's not about speed... it's more time management. Since it's in Northern VA, there's a lot of traffic, so if that's an issue for Watson you may want to reconsider. I do my best to have clues that take you off of the main/busy roads, though.

Hi Everyone! We only have four teams so far. I know it's still early, but this event requires a lot of planning. I also need to order the prizes by the end of the week. We really need a few more teams to participate. I'd hate to cancel the event, but if we don't get more teams, I will have to.

If it helps, I'll add 2 more for my parents.
