wyretrip Posted January 23, 2019 Report Posted January 23, 2019 So I was thinking about putting together a run for DCMM peeps (and anyone else really) at the Dragon! I'm looking for some ideas for fun places to go or places you have enjoyed visiting in the past. Also, what would be the best day for everyone's schedules? 2
SneakyBaron Posted January 23, 2019 Report Posted January 23, 2019 If we want the most people Saturday as long as we avoid the dragon itself or don't mind going really slow on the dragon. Thursday is pretty much out for @Sollestia @TGGRRR (Ali) and I. 2
TGGRRR (Ali) Posted January 23, 2019 Report Posted January 23, 2019 Saturday is the best day to get out of town and away from the Dragon If you're thinking a fun not all day run I would say head out for lunch at River's End, it's about 45 minutes each way https://noc.com/places/restaurants/rivers-end-restaurant Another fun but really long run is Bridal Veil Falls with lunch in Franklin for BBQ, this one is closer to 2 hours each way 2 Tigger 2006 the cabrio and Riversong the 2014 Countryman
wyretrip Posted January 23, 2019 Author Report Posted January 23, 2019 I think maybe an hour out and back would be good, I don't want to dominate an entire day of anyone's vacation. I like that River's End Restaurant! 2

Quote It's a decent restaurant with fun roads and a great view, maybe we can grab a group picture in the area. 2 Tigger 2006 the cabrio and Riversong the 2014 Countryman

wyretrip Posted February 4, 2019 Author Report Posted February 4, 2019 I'm thinking about Saturday, May 5th - 11AM - 2PM for the run. How does that work for everyone? It should allow peeps to attend the panoramic photo and we'll leave afterwards. 2
1975_mini Posted February 4, 2019 Report Posted February 4, 2019 Just avoid the route of the ice cream and apple pie runs, as those two start after the photo 2 1975 Mini 1000, 998cc A+ w/ K&N air filter, 10" Mamba wheels
TGGRRR (Ali) Posted February 4, 2019 Report Posted February 4, 2019 Sounds good Tigger 2006 the cabrio and Riversong the 2014 Countryman
TGGRRR (Ali) Posted March 13, 2019 Report Posted March 13, 2019 Where are we meeting for this run? We don't want to be near the ball field. Maybe line up at the old registration building??? It's still 11:00 right? I'm updating my calendar Tigger 2006 the cabrio and Riversong the 2014 Countryman
wyretrip Posted March 13, 2019 Author Report Posted March 13, 2019 I was thinking down by where we took the club photo last year. The Helipad in front of Fontana Power Plant.
TGGRRR (Ali) Posted March 13, 2019 Report Posted March 13, 2019 That works it keeps us away from the ice cream run, it's in the opposite direction of where we're going. maybe we do the boat ramp parking lot so that were making a right instead of left turn onto the road. Up to you, I'm just getting helpful ideas Tigger 2006 the cabrio and Riversong the 2014 Countryman
