opiesysco123 Posted May 8, 2015 Report Posted May 8, 2015 Hello, I am new to the DCMM and have a question. I have a 2014 Hardtop and got hit by a rock the other day. Does anybody know if there is an aftermarket windshield? I believe my car is an F56. I am having the hardest time with this. Safelite would not return my call and all the small shops in the Southern Maryland area said they have to go through the dealership to order the windshield ($475). Also, how long does it take to get touch-up paint to the dealership. I have a volcanic orange mini and 5 days later someone hit me in a parking lot. Took 2 small chips out of the side of the rear bumper. One year later, still no paint at Mini.
NYRican MC40 Posted May 8, 2015 Report Posted May 8, 2015 I had to replace mine (R53) and used Virginia glass and they came to house. They have couple of locations in NOVA. Price wise was less expensive than safe lite
1975_mini Posted May 8, 2015 Report Posted May 8, 2015 With the gen3 just being released last year I doubt there is a third partying windshield yet. If less than a quarter in size you can get it filled for about $100 usually 1975 Mini 1000, 998cc A+ w/ K&N air filter, 10" Mamba wheels

1975_mini Posted May 8, 2015 Report Posted May 8, 2015 Sorry to hear that, I have a feeling you are going to have to do OEM. 1975 Mini 1000, 998cc A+ w/ K&N air filter, 10" Mamba wheels

TGGRRR (Ali) Posted May 9, 2015 Report Posted May 9, 2015 I once used AAA glass service and they had an OEM option. They were great and came to the house Sorry about the windshield Tigger 2006 the cabrio and Riversong the 2014 Countryman
RichSperry Posted May 9, 2015 Report Posted May 9, 2015 Heck, just use the Safelite website to schedule the glass replacement. No matter where you go, there you are!
Lt. Dan Posted May 9, 2015 Report Posted May 9, 2015 Have you contacted your insurance? Most policies have a low deductible for windshield replacement, and it won't affect your premiums
