  1. No problem, thanks for letting us know so we don't wait on you. You can "Leave the event" by clicking in the green box under "You are going"
  2. Right now we plan to run rain or shine unless everyone drops out. Hoping that it clears though, it’s a beautiful run when the sun is out. Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow
  3. So the plan right now is to still make our way to Middleburg. The road closures for the Art event are on the side street that parallels the main road (Washington St) so we should be ok to drive through town. We'll parade on through, and head toward Bear Chase. Our run is really only about an hour and 15 minutes long, so a lunch stop isn't necessary, the Middleburg stop is just part of the Derby vibe of the "Run for the Roses" and was well received last year. Bear Chase has plenty of food options. Also, I have been watching the weather, it appears as if the rain forecast is supposed to end mid-morning, it should be clear for most, if not all, of our drive. **As a reminder: Bear Chase has a gravel parking lot
  4. Whoa! Thanks for posting this, we may need to pivot our lunch spot. Parking is already a nightmare in Middleburg
  5. Mike and I will be doing a test run today. The route will be the same as last year. I have the route on a PDF, but right now I do not have a GPX map for you (Corey usually does these for me). * Also, as a reminder, this is a Saturday run at the same place in Leesburg that we normally meet at. There will be NO Cars & Coffee on Saturday, but it's the same meeting place as C&C, which is why it's referenced (This caused some confusion last year). * Lunch will be on your own in Middleburg, we'll stop for about an hour. * Ending at Bear Chase Brewery (The place with the view) * For our EV drivers: First leg is about 35 miles long, second leg is about 29 miles long, and there appears to be a Tesla charging station near our lunch stop. * This will be a dog friendly run RUN FOR THE ROSES.pdf

  7. We’re in the Burger King!
  8. If we're still doing the run today @Widdie then we should probably meet at the Burger King instead of the parking lot. It's been raining really hard here in Frederick MD. Hopefully not as bad in VA??

*We are moving this event to May because we will be doing the Scavenger Hunt in June Dust off that fascinator, and throw on your favorite pair of Seersuckers and join us for a gallop through horse country. With the Triple Crown in full swing we're honoring horse power the MINI way. Your run leaders for this event will be Mike & Lorri (STXMINI) The starting gate will be in Leesburg; we'll travel a few well known roads before cantering down some twisties on our way to our lunch stop in Middleburg VA. After lunch we'll continue rounding the bends on our way toward the finish line of one of our favorite watering holes, Bear Chase Brewery. 11. Saintcross' are still in, but probably no GoPro
  12. David has been watching the weather and it looks like Sunday may have a bit of rain. He would like to still do the run, but he's trying to determine if there's enough interest because of the weather forecast? If you've decided not to go because of the weather, would you please decline on the event link as soon as possible so that he has an idea of how many are still interested. EVENT LINK

  21. That's great! I'll create a generic place holder event on the club calendar, we can fill in details as you decide them.
  22. Hi David, we'll take any day anyone is willing to do! Saturday or Sunday -We have our club Board meeting on Sunday the 23rd at 2:00 so that wouldn't be ideal -If you wanted to do it on the 30th Mike and I would be available to assist. The length of the run is up to you. -We did our last run to a sandwich shop, so any where you'd like to go to we'll follow!
  23. Hey fellow DCMMers, we need a run leader for April's open run. As you know, we only had a HSB for March because of the AutoX event, and April is shaping up to (only) have a HSB because of lack of help. Corey & Brandy will be off to The Dragon, and while Mike & I are NOT going to The Dragon this year, we are busy with our daughter's wedding, so we can't plan a run. We really need someone else to step up and volunteer, as this is an ALL volunteer club. It does not have to be an all day run, and if scheduled on the 8th/15th/29th Lorri & Mike can help with the run. ~Thanks, Lorri (STXMINI)
  24. We created a YT channel to wrangle all of the DCMM run videos that are posted on member's private YT channels. You can find the new DCMM channel here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6CfKtGq4rnA1EUvvqtOnUQ Don't forget to subscribe If we get 100 subscribers, I can change that loooong URL to a custom one that is shorter. ' ** If you have videos you'd like to upload to the channel please contact @STXMINI for access to the account.
  25. MARCH 2023 Newsletter for any that didn't get it in their email MARCH NEWSLETTER.pdf
