  1. I'm in. Thanks, CarlB! nccautocross.com
  2. And thanks for the ride-alongs, guys. They could only have helped. After you both left, my next two afternoon runs by myself were getting worse by 2 seconds. I was trying too hard to keep things smoother, sacrificing the necessary speed. So for my last, I was determined not to waste it and pulled off a half-second improvement on my best. I went home satisfied, also because comparably, I'm now within the same ballpark :motor: Good job topping the Roadster podium, Michael :top: My last run
  3. Nice meeting you, TheMichael and good seeing you again, Tyler. Just wanted to note here that an seemingly-unprecedented three MCS Roadsters attended! A JCW Hardtop also attended. Here are Michael's and John's
  4. S Roadsters seem to be coming full force. First autocross, then this morning headed south on Rt. 1 almost to work, a blue one with standard VA tags. The female waves as I deliberately look and wave back as she passes :itsme:
  5. Ya, wasn't sure Will got that
  6. I think a little clarity is needed, this is for the Dragon, not this weekend
  7. My first time with this group and venue. I liked how there were a total of only 36 drivers, we each had six runs, and the event was still done by noon. Courses are shorter and therefore tighter than FedEx Field's, so I did find it a different challenge. Despite the nicer day, I did awful, placing 33rd in PAX. This perspective is useless, but it was the extent of my being artsy and it's fun watching the cone I hit as I go off course and the running worker
  8. It's not an excuse, but my heat had the worst rain. Here are my first three runs, progressively better until my fourth (not shown) when I go off course and just about stop.
  9. And thanks for the invite as well, Dan, but I was worn out enough to head home. Looks like I really missed out! Next time :top: Good meeting ya
  10. Tyler invited me to ride in his Exige. So here is his second run. Thanks, RDG_RCR!
  11. It'd be good to meet ya, but I'm in the morning heats. I'll stay after a little just to greet :itsme:
  12. Cool, thanks! If I searched correctly, according to http://nccautocross.com the next one is May 7 at FedEx Field. I'll look into doing that too
  13. I'm in. Thanks, Tyler! CapitalDrivingClub.com
  14. I didn't even know about CDC! I'll have to look into doing that too. Thanks!
  15. Waldorf is definitely the following day, Sunday 4/24. I registered for it. Guess it would be appropriate to list the events: WDCR-SCCA.org #1 - FedEx Field - Saturday, April 23, 7:30am-3:30pm AutocrossersInc.com #1 - Blue Crabs Stadium, Waldorf - Sunday, April 24, 8:00am-12pm
  16. Your class of three looks tight with less than a second delta. D-Street was nine WRXs and Mimi. Times ranged 10 seconds. I was just barely next to last and 3 seconds behind the previous guy. I know places I could have pushed it more, but it's hard to remember realtime where it's feasible to gun it. I'll be at Saturday's and will probably go try Waldorf for the first time the next day. You know anything of that, Tyler?
  17. Yesterday in College Park I saw a light-colored MINI Convertible topless with a couple ladies in my rear view mirror. As I was turning left, they passed, honked and waved above the roofline. I waved as best I could as my top was up, but a good chance they saw if they were looking. In any case, made my day! :itsme:
  18. Mimi, at FedEx Field on April 17 - Practice Event Next Event: WDCR Autocross 1 - FedEx Field - Saturday, April 23, 7:30am-3:30pm
  19. From the album: Mimi

  20. :top: Like
  21. Weird how DC proper seems to have the highest density of MINIs, but the lowest of MINIacs. I wave at the multitudes here whenever I can, but no responders
  22. So we had a pretty bad winter here in Washington, DC where I'll be parking street-side. The snow had come down and covered cars with a few feet. Then most of us were shut-in since plows took a few days to dig us out, during which it was hard to even walk through the neighborhood, just to potentially clean off the top. Any experience, knowledge or tips?
  23. See more on my channel. But I still don't have everything since two batteries died
