We also may want to reach out to C3M and include them. I will be at their quarterly M&G tomorrow if you would like me to bring it up to John just let me know.
Good idea! Definitely mention it to John and I will post it on the meetup.

@wyretrip,
See edited OP for additional "event" information.Ali got you covered and posted the event on Facebook. I'll give it a few days and if we still don't have the minimum, we can send out an email blast to try to reach a few others. We just sent one out last night otherwise we could do it now.

Interesting!
-
Is this something I should consider with 23k miles on a Gen 3?
-
That is pretty amazing.. what is the story with the GP's anyway? Are they the ultimate MINI?

I paired my Samsung Galaxy S8 with my new 2019 F55 and it's working fine except I noticed that when I run Waze I don't get any sound directions from the phone. In my Countryman I did the same thing and would get sounds from the phone but not though the car's sound system.
I don't care how I hear sounds but I do want to hear directions. Any ideas?
Do you get sound from anything else on your phone, aside from phone calls? The reason I ask is that my car is the same way and it turns out you have to have MINI Connected or Enhanced Bluetooth to pair your phone for media purposes through Bluetooth, otherwise you just get phone calls.
I ended up buying a Harmon Kardon bluetooth hub that plugs into the Aux port and run all my media through there. I also believe the audio is superior in my car with this method. I've paired my phone for media in loaners and the audio isn't as strong. The negative here is that if you have the full screen in your dash, you don't get album art on that screen, only on your phone's screen and you cannot control the media from your steering wheel controls aside from volume.

Event Title: Motoring to Magnolia's at the Mill
Event Date: 05/26/2018 11:00 AM to 05/26/2018 03:00 PM
Event Address: 21826 Pacific Blvd, Sterling, VA 20166
Update: Our first stop is changing! We will have lunch at Magnolia's at the Mill (West End doesn't do lunch /forehead)
Following the Meet and Greet, we will enjoy a relaxed drive through Western Loudoun to have lunch at the Magnolia's at the Mill in Purcellville, VA. After lunch, some tours of local wineries and breweries will be available to join! Notable stops include Dragon Hops Brewing, Otium Cellars, and Bluemont Vineyard.
Magnolia's at the Mill
Located in the historic town of Purcellville, Magnolias at the Mill is renowned for its cuisine and service. Housed in a magnificently restored 1905 grain mill, Magnolias' simple clapboard siding and exposed beams give the restaurant a cozy ambience while the wheels and pulleys still suspended from the roof speak of its hard-working history.
Dragon Hops Brewing
A relatively new brewer in the area, they have only been open since early May. Be among the first to try them out! They grow their own hops locally in Loudoun County
Otium Cellars
Otium Cellars is a boutique winery located just outside of the picturesque town of Purcellville in Northern Virginia. With its roots in old Franconian tradition, Otium produces quality wines from one of the best Western Loudoun County terroirs. Quaint with a German flare, owner Dr. Gerhard Bauer has brought a sense of home to Loudoun County.
Winemakers Ben Renshaw and Max Bauer create unique, complex wines with Austrian and German varieties such as Grüner Veltliner, Grauburgunder (German Pinot Gris), Blaufränkisch, Dornfelder, and Zweigelt. Other varieties you may find in the tasting room include Chardonnay, Merlot, Malbec, and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Bluemont Vineyard
You can see all the way to Reston from the tasting room deck.. amazing view, not to be missed!
Bluemont Vineyard was established in 2007 when the first grape vines came into full production. We now grow over 7 varietals of grapes including Viognier, Norton and Cab Franc, and are on the leading edge of bringing Petit Manseng and Albarino to Virginia Wine Lovers visiting the growing number of wineries in the area.
As a small-run Virginia winery, an average of 6500 carefully crafted cases of wine are produced each year. We invite you to join us in the love of this land we steward and to discover a broad spectrum of wines produced from its terroir guided by the skill, enthusiasm and artistry of the team creating each unique vintage.

I would love to see us do some "club run" sign ups for us to hang out together a little more next year. It was difficult to pull things together off the cuff because electronic communications was extremely limited unless you were sitting in Fontana waiting by your radio. =)
I will be working on that for next year.

Also, Devin, if you are the events guy on the board these days, let me know if you need more info.
How long does this take per person? Since we are referring to this as an "event" are we thinking they are going to do 15 cars in a day or will they work to schedule individuals over a period of time?

Shirts look great @CHILLIN! Thanks for doing the work to arrange for these for our club!

Event Title: MINIs on Top 2018
Event Date: 06/15/2018 12:00 AM to 06/16/2018 12:00 AM
Event Address:
MINIs on Top 2018 - https://www.minisontop.org/
MINIs On Top is an annual gathering of MINIs and their owners in New Hampshire, culminating in a drive to the top of Mount Washington! Fun is the number one goal, but over the years MINIs On Top has raised about $100,000 for charities…
MINIs On Top is run by a 4 person committee, with the help of a very enthusiastic group of volunteer MINI Cooper owners, and the support of MINI dealerships and MINI parts suppliers countrywide. Thank you to our Volunteers & Sponsors for their support.
Remember:
·To participate in MOT, you must register which is pass to the weekend’s worth of events. All additional costs are optional which are the auto road drive to the top of Mount Washington, dinner at the tent, and t-shirts.
· There is a restriction in the number of MINIs that can drive to the summit, this due to parking space limits. Please buy your Auto-road pass early to ensure your ascend.

If it comes down to it, maybe have the club buy a couple to give away as prizes.

Maple Festival Run was able to dodge the snow and get in some great mountain driving. @AzFlower and I stayed in a remodeled jail that was part of the old courthouse in Warm Springs, VA which we enjoyed a lot! Cannot remember what the converted for @1975_mini and @Brandy_Brown's room, but it was super nice looking too. Dinner was at the Waterwheel Restaurant in Warm Springs which was a converted mill. The girls will tell you that the highlight was selecting their wine from the restaurant's wine cellar.
All in all, a great trip and one that I look forward to repeating next year. Maybe others will join us!
Here is the photo album that I created for the event! Maybe @Brandy_Brown will post some of her excellent photos from the drive!
