  1. Send me your name number and address. If I'm not busy u don't mind lending a helping hand. I have a feeling you are going to move right across the top of that list.
  2. I have a full set of shocks and struts off the car if you want them
  3. Any gloss black should work fine. I know BMW has a specific silver for wheels but I'm un sure about a black. Sand out the curb dings with a rotary tool and use a small amount of filler. Scuff it up prime it and respray.
  4. Looks like they pinned your oil leak to a bad vcg easy fix. Possible water pump t Stat problem. Does the ac make any noise? Hissing or compressor clicking on etc?May just need a recharge. What I'd do: Pick up an ac recharge kit. Buy the vcg change the plugs and check the coil packs while you are at it. Find that coolant leak before throwing parts at it. But likely it's either the tstat or wp
  5. I'm considering making wider fender flares. Probably make a set to start and gauge interest for a small batch run.
  6. Add coolant and get any air out of the system. Open up the bleed screw and top off till it starts to come out. Close screw and let it run a bit. Keep your eyes on the temp gauge, If it starts to climb shut it down. I believe on an r56 the screw is on the top of the tstat. If everything goes good start looking for leaks.
  7. Whoops on an r56 it's on the front left side (drivers) of the bay. He is talking about the cap on this tank. It's a sealed system and must hold pressure to avoid boil over
  8. Well honestly you won't know without looking. Check the expansion tank at the back of the engine bay for leaks. Do you have an idea of where the leak is spacially? Drivers side? Pass side? Front or back of the engine bay? It's likely something simple. Warped head is far less likely unless you really ran it hot. If you pulled over right away you should be fine. Check the oil and make sure it's not foamy (coolant in oil). Worst case any competent shop should be able to do a leak down check. Where are you located if you have a driveway I can narrow it down for you.
  9. Common problem on some r56s dealer knows about it. You have to replace the entire speedo
  10. If you don't mind send me a message with your number. I know you may be allowed. But they may not be happy if I'm there. I have no idea where you work. I'll message you must number text me.
  11. I wouldn't want to get you in any sort of trouble. If you have a driveway I can head your way after work.
  12. Let me know if you want me to meet up tomorrow or this week.
  13. I have fsds in my back seat I need a place locally to install. You can have my stocks when I remove. I'll see if I can find a driveway and a jack asap.
  14. Me +1 sadly I could walk there ha
  15. I'm sorry. That's what I mentioned take them down to bare metal
  16. You should really start off by painting the centers. The lips can be polished up. With that blue I'd like to see a dark grey or bronze. Both hide brake dust well and will still look classy. Because the oem paints color I think it would be too much for the wheels. You don't have any other accent colors but the chrome trim. So start the labor on the lips then work the centers out.
  17. Thanks again Dan I can't wait to get this thing out on a track. Plans are not urgent, My list includes: New tires (on the way) 15 percent pulley kit (sitting in the car) wheel spacers to hit an et of 30. (In the mail) Hella 500s I ordered the ffs by mistake oil change. Check fluids rear sway bar Weld up a custom exhaust decide on springs and shocks. I don't think I'll like driving on coils ever day. some sort of fabricated could air intake. then water methanol injection. I just want to get moving on things. Weather has been great! Thanks again for all the help. I guess where I'm stuck the most is do I go tsw on springs tein no longer makes r53 h.tech. or keep them stock. If I stay stock height I'll go koni fsd. If I move lower I'll be looking in to something fully adjustable. I'm all about a clean stock like look with little touches here and there. Hers where I'm at now:
  18. Provide the workspace we can do ours together. I'll rent the tools!
  19. Ivy I've seen your car out by falls church when I was on the way to a meet. My car had black and white Web spokes at the time
  20. Thanks all for the warm welcome. There's been a few small issues with the car and I need to find a local driveway to do some work. I'd rather not upset my apartment complex. https://instagram.com/p/22q97toTRY/ the car is an indi blue 2003 with blue black interior and white roof and mirrors. I picked it up with 64,000 miles. So far it's been fun. It's only been a month and I'm on my third set of wheels. I plan on coming out to events and doing some open auto x. I have a pile of parts ready to go on just need to find somewhere local to do work. Also if anyone ever needs help with anything don't be shy to ask.
