  1. Things happen and I'm sure we'll get to meet you at another event. We're in the process of setting up the August dinner, maybe you can make it out to that
  2. Those are awesome!!! You guys were having so much fun setting up the cars, I had fun watching and making helpful comments.
  3. I got it, thanks!
  4. I can't wait to see the fun Evolution of the MINI pics that you guys took
  5. That was a lot of fun and it was great seeing everyone!
  6. Looks like it might rain a little, but we have a pavillion so we'll be fine. Doesn't look like it's going to be too bad.
  7. I don't have rally lights so I haven't run into this. Did you take it to Passport for the inspection? They are usually very reasonable to deal with
  8. I do it all the time. I usually nestle it in the drivers side window. You can even add a nice little note.
  9. Catalina is planning one that goes over the White's ferry. Scroll up, I'm sure you'll find her post
  10. My husband really liked your stripes.
  11. The White's Ferry is a lot of fun. I would join you, but I'm doing set up. I heard there's a sign there with the maximum capacity in MINIs
  12. If it's hot, I may be bringing my super soaker, is there an easy way to fill them up? Mine weighs like 8 pounds full
  13. It really doesn't need sugar, but I can bring some on the side. I only have one big container to bring it in, or I would try and separate it out for you.
  14. I'm planning to make several gallons of my fresh unsweetened mint tea. I have one of those 5 gallon orange drink coolers, I make the tea from the mint in the garden. It's really refreshing, great for those that don't want soda. Ali
  15. I'm looking forward to the Grand Opening!
  16. Get all sugared up and then drive your MINI OY!!! :lollypop::vroom:
  17. I wonder if Cricket will get more waves now...
  18. I just wanted to announce the winners Team Preemie was the winner (Ken and Nancy) 2nd place was Team Sheckly, not bad for their first event in a lovely spice orange MINI 3rd place was HR MINI with Dale and Regina We had a 2 way tie for first and a 4 way tie for 3rd There were 98 questions on the route, most people only missed from 5- 8 questions, the worst was around 11 questions. That's awesome!! You guys ALL nailed the course.
  19. Thank you EVERYONE That participated and volunteered. Mark, Quitta and I set up the route in addition, Audrey (who had to work and couldn't make it) helped us to create questionsCraig was there with help and guidance on the route AND did all the scoring at the end. He was also our official event photographer. Quitta, Josh and Celia did a great job with registration Celia helped to send off the cars too Mark, Quitta and Josh ran the checkpoint. This was a true team effort!!! We also had some great support from our sponsors, such as Passport MINI (stuff for the goodie bags) the Melanoma Research Foundation (more stuff for goodie bags), Prima Car Care, Target (thanks Stephanie Kios), Go Badges and Craven Speed. We wouldn't have been successful though without the participants who braved the heat, smiled and gave it their all. You guys are awesome and I hope you all had fun!!! There were some really creative answers there! I did a quick total and came up with a number of $890 raised for the Melanoma Research Foundation!!! That Rocks!!!!! Last year we did about $600 so this was about a 3rd more. I'm already trying to think of what we'll do next summer. I think we'll start it in MD, maybe near the new Passport dealer. We learned a lot at today's rally, A LOT!!! We plan to make next years another year of fun Thank you everyone for your support :congrats::congrats::congrats:
  20. Thanks Dale I learned it all from you! :adore:
  21. It's easier if you can separate out your payments, but if you did roll them together, the club would issue us a check for the charity. Here's how the tie breaker works. As rally masters we have run the rally enough times and come up with the ideal miles for each leg. When you run the rally, chances are you will not run it as cleanly. You may come to a direction and realize you missed a clue. At which point, if you are really competitive and you know you have time, you would make a U-turn and look for that missed answer. Do that 6, 8, 10 times and your mileage is going to be really wonky. That's OK! We don't expect you to run the perfect mileage. Take a guess at the end of each leg on what you think the ideal mileage was. You could put in the mileage you have if you have run a pretty clean route. For example when Mark and I ran the rally that Dale organized, our actual mileage was like 15 miles over the rally route. At the end if there is a tie, we will look at the mileage and who ever is the closest without being under our set ideal mileage will win. Does that make sense?
  22. OK Everyone we rally this Sunday!!! Does your team have a name picked out??? Ya gotta name your team. Don't forget a clip board or something that you can use to lean your directions on to write, there are pens in the goodie bags. The starting location has a Starbucks so if you get there early enough you can get your morning coffee and if your MINI needs fuel there's a station across the street from the start. Gainesville has cheap gas too. When you get there the parking lot is always a bit more open off to the right where the Liberty Mutual is, so we're planning to start there. Just look for some MINIs. Mark and I will be there by 9:00 but registration doesn't start until 9:30. Looking forward to a great rally and if anyone has any questions about how this is played or anything else about the event please ask.
  23. Thanks Dale!!!
  24. Yes please What are you asking for rims and sensors?
  25. Great, then we are interested. He would just want the rims he had winter tires.
