    Mark and I went out and explored some potential sites for the Virginia side of the shoot. What we found was that Gravely park has potential as long as it's not crowded. There are some areas where we can park a few MINIs and get the Washington Monument and the Capital in the shot but they are of course restricted parking spots so we'll just need to park and move quickly. As a back up we even found some areas where the cars could be driving through the lot and we can get the shot. Another thing that should be fun is that we can park a few MINIs under the flight path of incoming aircraft and hopefully get a big jet flying overhead. I think this park gives us a ton of options as long as it's not too crowded. Hopefully we'll be early enough to beat the crowds

    I can translate. I don't use recipes so my currie dishes are different every time.

    Thanks, I really appreciate all of the suggestions. I think 10 - 15 minutes from the dealership is fine but people may not want another 30 minute drive, especially if it's in the direction away from DC/ VA.

    Ok these are a good start. I don't know that we want to drive too far and maybe I have to drop my vision of being waterfront. Given how far out it is and the month we may only get 3 - 6 MINIs so probably don't need a huge parking lot. How much farther are Galesville and Deale where you say we can get a fun group shot?

    #2 is the beer bottle opener from the Dragon I know #1 is a MINI logo, but can't tell what it's on #3 is some sort of keypad, maybe even an old adding machine Nice macro work did you finally get that macro lens you've been whining about?

If parking is available we'll park the cars on 14th, get out and shoot them with the Washington Monument in the background. </p> <p> </p> <p>From there we're moving on to the Capital to shoot from the parking areas on the roads leading up to it. We can park on either Maryland Ave or Pennsylvania Ave. </p> <p>At this location it could be fun to stage some photographers inside the rotary in front of the Capital and shoot a few MINIs as they drive by.</p> <p> </p> <p>From there we'll go to the Virginia side to Gravelly Point Park which is off of the GW Parkway just north of the Airport. If the park isn't too crowded we can get some shots of the MINIs with the Capital and Washington Monument in the background. We might even be able to set up the cars so that there is a big old Jet flying overhead.     I met two guys at a light in Alexandria that were driving a yellow Countryman. We chatted at the light and I told them about the club. Their MINI was named and they seemed like fun guys. I hope they come find us :itsme:

    I just wanted to say that Mark and I both have this Adam's treatment on our MINI's windshields. It is exceeding our expectations in quality. I think Mark applied it over a month ago and last weekend driving home from Williamsburg he barely needed wipers even though it was raining heavily. The rain just beads up and flies away. Amazing stuff!!!
