  1. Thanks Sis! It's been a bad winter for breathing, if I feel like I can handle it I'll come watch and take pics
  2. You magical gen two people
  3. I might come watch, but Mark is worried that the place will bother my asthma, so I'm trying to decide
  4. I have no idea what an N18 engine is. He's a 2009 JCW does that help?
  5. Mark (my husband) just did some sort of tune that sits on top of the ecu. He said it was pretty easy to install and it's easy to turn on or off. Do I know details like what it's called??? You'll have to ask Mark or Craig. I can't remember details. Mark does want to dyno Max and see if this thing is really adding hp. He said with winter tires on it's much harder to tell but there does seem to be an improvement
  6. if you want a wider audience then I would go here to post http://www.motoringalliance.com/forums/minis-dragon-12-april-30-may-4-2014-tn-nc/19695-lodging-need-have.html#axzz2qEO1VQXg
  7. Today Mark and I scoped out the area near the Capital Building. This is going to work really well if there are not too many people around. We noticed a better area to shoot the cars with the Monument as 14th street is kind of close, so we'll use one of the other cross streets that is a lower number and closer to the Capital. As we get closer to the date I'll want to get a better idea of a count of people so that I can pick an appropriate restaurant. Right now I'm thinking of eating in Old Town Alexandria. There's a free garage near Teaism, but it's fairly small and so is the restaurant. If the group grows we'll need a larger restaurant and may not find free parking, or we don't use Old Town to eat.
  8. I called my upholstery guy who explained a whole lot about this whole issue to me. He said there are no drainage holes under the seat. He explained that there are drainage pathways through the side of the car to direct water out the bottom. He said that over time they can get clogged. So he's going to do some water testing to find the clog and clear it. He can also save my seat so I don't need a new one. They squeegee out the water and then kill the mold with a disinfectant. I guess this is a convertible issue, it can happen with any convertible. I'm happy that I got the stink out of my Tigger and he smells fresh as a daisy right now. if anyone ever needs a good upholstery guy just let me know!
  9. I have a little favor to ask of someone with a first gen cabrio. I need to know if there are drainage holes under the rear seats. Tigger had a horrible smell that I finally tracked down (thanks to Lona when she declared "Rip those seats out!!!") We found a big puddle of water under the rear seats and the foam was rotting. I added sound proofing a while ago so I can't tell if I covered up any drainage holes. Based on the amount of rot in the foam and the amount of water back there I'm guessing this has been going on for a while. It's really super easy to pull the back seats up. They are just held in by Velcro or something. Would someone mind looking under their seat to let me know if there are drainage holes and if there are I'd love a picture to know where they are. I think I will need to punch holes through the sound proofing material. I'm hoping that this is why the water accumulated, but I'm also trying to figure out if it's normal for some water to get in and drain through or if there should never be water back there. For now, Tigger has a rear seat delete and he thinks he's a roadster. He smells sooooo much better too
  10. They would rock with eggs. I had them with rice and roasted brussel sprouts. I need that recipe
  11. I'm curious, who made the red beans at the party? We took some home and had them for dinner tonight. They are so damn good!!!!! Good eats!!! :eating:
  12. Deal!!! I can do this. It's not like we would stop for a picnic along a scenic road along the way or anything. OK, maybe there might be some chewed up chicken legs but I'm only human
  13. :argh:
  14. Oh Tyler you seem to be forgetting Mark's screen name. It's MarkDDrew I don't know where you get this Pooh Bear from... :stupid:
  15. That's sad, I'll remove them from the vendor list. It seems that location is closed and that was the only location that gave us a discount.
  16. Here's a link to the thread with all of our vendor discounts http://dcmetrominis.org/forum/topic/1800-official-vendors/
  17. The motoring alliance forum has more people but if people within the club want to announce that they are looking for a roommate or that they need a place to stay while at the Dragon. This is the thread for it
  18. You should put this in a separate thread so that it gets noticed. I'll start a thread for people looking for a roommate or a cabin and you can post there. You should also post on Motoring Alliance
  19. Yay! Now I am happy :top:
  20. Maybe it's on Monday in Australia!!!!
  21. No, I think she has Tues, we do Monday. We've done Monday for the last two years. I even checked and last year tacos and scotch was on Monday night. We would never step on Katie's spaghetti dinner night. I think she does her dinner on Tues and then the gathering on Wed nights.
  22. I'm sure you'll find a place If I know Erin, she'll get her way and you guys will be there happily settled in a nice cabin.
  23. For those of you coming up early we are going to do another potluck on Upper Upper Shuckstack. We're thinking of smoking some chickens and meats and bringing them up, you bring the sides and desserts. Of course there will be the traditional scotch tasting too. Talk to Mark about that though, I just handle the food part. Craig and Lona got a smoker and that thing makes some amazing chickens. Who's coming early in the week? This is usually a fun way to start off the week :eating::eating::eating:
  24. I'm shooting the GP run and I think you're right it's on Sat right after the ice cream run.
