Barry (the organizer of MOTD) starts planning in October, so if you keep checking on www.minisonthedragon.com, you'll see updates. Also, there's a Facebook page, so if you use Facebook, that's a good way to stay up to date. MOTD 2012 is only 224 days away!!!

I like the idea of a caravan, but I'm not leaving here at 7am! If anyone is interested in caravaning but not going to Richmond to meet up with HR MINIs first, let me know.

I don't think we should do this. We use the lot (as does Passport) for event parking. If we upset security, it's possible they will no longer allow us or Passport to use the lot. I don't think that's a risk we should take.

I'm done with work at 5:30 (and hopefully I won't work late like the last time we had a DCMM event in the evening) and was planning on heading over when I was done. I was going to see if Macy's had anything interesting.

The first time this happened to me, I was still at Zipcar. I had taken a MINI somewhere and when I came out, she was surrounded by other MINIs. I thought it was really cute and always tried to park next to other MINIs after that. It was also when I realized there was something funny about those MINI owners. :stupid:

What a great day!! Thanks to everyone who came out. A HUGE thank you to Craig and Lona for doing all of the shopping and a lot of the cooking. Thanks to everyone else who helped and who took stuff (including trash) home!

We're here, food is being cooked, drinks are on ice. It's quite nice in shelter. There's lots of shade and a nice breeze.

Wow. That would have been a mess! I guess things work out for a reason sometimes!! Thanks for posting this. It IS a good route and I plan to run it as a separate event sometime this fall. I bet it will be really pretty when the leaves start to change!
