Agreed. If the first one swapped the locations of the logo and the word team, it would read "DCMM BINGO Team"

I'm sure we can do that
Awesome - I'll go ahead and vote for Option 1 then, with the proviso that Melissa's adjustment to it would work best. :top:
  2. Hmm - I like the overall designs, but aren't we "Team DCMM", not "Team BINGO"?

The logic just doesn't add up for me saying "Team BINGO". I realize "BINGO" needs to be incorporated, but I thought it would end up being something like "Team DCMM BINGO". The 3rd one kinda does that, but I agree that the 1st one fills the space better - I just wish the words were ordered differently.

  3. I have accumulated a bunch of die cast MINIs. They are all some variant of British Racing Green and White. I think most of them are 1:24 scale, but there's a few others. I don't have pictures because they are in my storage unit. I'm just seeing if anyone would be interested in taking some off my hands.

Pick up would be in Tysons (preferred) or Poolesville.

    They're FREE!

If you've got a Clubbie in there, I'll take it.
Nope, they all look like my MINI.
Yeah, but how many of them have hand painted white wheels and white racing stripes?
  4. To restate what Laura and Jim stated above, you get what you pay for (and wait for), and D&V is one of, if not THE, highest quality body shops in the D.C. region.

Are they the fastest? Are they the cheapest? No.

It depends on what your priorities are.

After some really bad experiences at some other body shops, after finding D&V, I won't take my MINI (or any of my cars) anywhere else for body work.

Passed Mr. OEM on I-95 N today at 3:30 between Exits 158 and 160. Honked and waved to Susan driving, but she didn't notice. One last honk as I waved in the rear window, not sure if I was finally seen. Hi again anyway :itsme:
Haha Chris - I just saw this and showed it to Susan... she was very surprised and sorry she didn't notice you... she was so paranoid driving my car, not wanting to wreck it... that she just wasn't on the lookout for other MINIs. Oops! We switched cars today, so I could come back home early from work and take my parents to the airport in her car (3 checked suitcases and 2 carry-on suitcases, plus both of them... just not enough room in either of my cars without a roof rack installed).

I will not be there tonight. Not feeling well. The table is under DC Metro MINIs and my name (Alex). It is a reservation for 15 though now I think there will be more than 15 based on the yes responses.
Bummer, man! Sorry that you are not feeling well - hope you feel better soon. Thanks for setting it up!
  7. I'm wanting to see if there is any interest in my Borbet 16 inch Wheels w/ Michelin Winter Tires. I won't need these this winter as I will be storing the MINI in the garage for the winter.

Wheels: Borbet LS, 16 x 7, 15 spoke silver painted alloy wheels. Excellent condition, NO curb rash.

Tires: Michelin X-Ice, 195/55/R16. Used for 2 winters, approximately 3,000 miles.

    TPMS included.

    $400 cash.

    Any interest?

I don't need new winter wheels & tires (these wouldn't fit over my brakes anyway), but I wanted to chime in to vouch for the Michelin X-Ice tires. I put some on my 1995 Mustang GT for the winter of 2013-2014 (since my MINI was incapacitated at the time), and they completely transformed the car in the snow... and I've had other actual snow tires on the car in the past! The Michelin X-Ice tires were amazing - even on a front-engined V8 RWD car with no traction control!

Were we mentioned on WTOP? I thought I heard something over the walkie radios.

Yes, they were giving updates on us every 10 or 15 minutes while they were doing the regular traffic reports.

Awesome! Hopefully they were talking about us in a positive light. [emoji6]

Check out https://www.instagram.com/explore/tags/mttb8/ and you'll see some photos and a video clip of the WTOP shout out.

    THAT. WAS. AWESOME.

On the 8s or when it breaks
Yeah, I called them all in, but they left us off in the last 20 minutes (the last 2 "8s")... there was just way too much accident activity, so they didn't have time to mention us at that point. Oh well - what can you do? They still gave us a shout out for the first five (or so) "8s" :)
