  1. Having just gotten coil covers, just thought I'd expand on this a bit.

Top hats are correct, specifically, you need to keep the upper strut mounts (top hat) and the washers and bushings. If you have high mileage, consider replacing the bushings.

In front, the top hats are also reused. Again, if you have high mileage, you can consider replacing the upper rubber spring pads.

  2. What a beautiful day, my niece is visiting from CA, and in true 9 year old fashion she's totally ignoring me while playing with the dogs and my iPad. Soooooo I washed and clay barred Tigger, the detailing process has begun.

    Please do B.A.!!

Oh , and far as this MOTD thing......

I'M GETTING SO ****ING EXCITED ABOUT IT!!!!!!:top::motor:

  3. Hi Smak and welcome. The MINIFINI is a great choice :top:

If you prefer working with the dealership, I believe Passport MINI of Alexandria would have no problem installing it. However, a private shop may charge less, in which case, there is Mach V in Sterling and Bilbo Automotive in Alexandria. Those are the two off the top of my head.

  4. Just did a little project. The M7 scoop on B.A. was badly crackled, so until I get it repainted, I put the original scoop back on. Now, it's obvious that the stripe has faded and needs to be removed. To replace or not to replace, that is the question!

  5. Sorry I didn't address coming by for me to "listen" to it. I'd be glad to give it a try but as many know, my hearing isn't all that good. I've got a "clunking" noise that I can't find so I've been getting Lona to listen (she's got hearing that's like ESP it's so good) for it so I can find it.

When I took Merlin out the other day, it seems like the clunking was coming from the Passenger Side - Rear. Is that what Lona is detecting?

  6. So, who all is planning to drive down on Tuesday? Travelling in a group/caravan can be fun and prevent boredom. I prefer one that doesn't overdo the stops and can make it in one shot. Also, would like to make it to the Spaghetti dinner if possible.
