Atomic Monkey Posted October 25, 2024 Report Posted October 25, 2024 I just took my car in for two new tires, rotation/balance and alignment. I asked whether they still offer a discount to DC Metro Mini Members. The service rep didn't know and had to check. He texted me back and stated: "Parts said tires are excluded but I can see what we can do with labor." He just emailed me the invoice and it looks like I got a discount on labor as well as some credits toward shop supply and disposal fees. The discount was modest, but appreciated. 2

donemcclure Posted February 3 Report Posted February 3 That's good to know, thanks for posting. I've used Passport a couple times and they have been really good to work with, knowing that they at least offer some DCMM discounts is even better.
1975_mini Posted February 5 Report Posted February 5 We are currently finalizing the new agreement with Passport MINI of Alexandria and hope to be able to share with the club by the end of the month. I am pretty excited about what we have roughed out. 1 1975 Mini 1000, 998cc A+ w/ K&N air filter, 10" Mamba wheels
1975_mini Posted February 5 Report Posted February 5 One bit of info for the group, Passport whether Alexandria or MoCo (and many other dealers) buy their tires through Tirerack. It is a dealer account, but still they are sourcing through Tirerack. So when they quote you tire prices, look that tire up on Tirerack and if it is cheaper tell them you can order them yourself with free shipping for "THIS" price. 9 times out of 10 they will match the price on the website, because they are not paying that price with their dealer account. 2 1975 Mini 1000, 998cc A+ w/ K&N air filter, 10" Mamba wheels
scottt Posted Monday at 06:16 PM Report Posted Monday at 06:16 PM Last time I was in at Passport for my free state inspection, they lied to me and said I needed new front struts (they were torn). After I quested them, the picture link they sent mysteriously disappeared. Took my car to my Mini Doctor and he laughed and said they were just fine. Won't darken their doorstep again. Oh, and they wanted over $1365 for new tires. $775 at Costco.
