New de-chroming idea!

Recommended Posts

So, I didn't know if i should have posted this in the " Plasti-Dip Thread or if there is a "de chrome" thread but I came across something awesome last night!

I was using the Plasti-dip product "smoke" which is an opaque grey application. I went plasti dip crazy using black on the headlight and tail light chrome trip as well as the grill trim. But I was also Smoking the tail lights on my mini and the tail lights on my wife's mazda when I got this crazy Idea.

What would it look like over the Chrome?

In the picture you can see I only applied it to the mini badge and then peeled out the center, gas cap chrome for comparison.

It kind of matches the silver on the dash!

Also it gets darker with more layers.
